You want to re-write the platform Riot? Why not do this:

  • Create Forum Profile -- Give the ability to upload/use 90x90 avatars -- Honor System (Requires valid E-mail Address to use) -- Show Last Posts By User -- Show Last Threads By User -- Post Count -- Likes/Interests -- Friends -- Groups -- PMs (with the option to disable) -- Blocking System (ignore's PMs, friend requests and hides person's posts)

  • Groups -- Groups would be sub-forums that you can create for a team/clan. -- Would be moderated by the group creator (and Riot should it be offensive)

  • Report Post / Group Function -- Create a 4 point tier system, if a player is constantly spamming bad reports (ie: This guy disagrees with me therefor report) you give them 1 point. If they give a good report you give them a 4. People with higher report Avg's get shuffled to the top while people with lower ones get shuffled to the bottom until their reports are deemed unworthy and either report function revoked or their reports are ignored all together. -- If someone gives a bad report or a report that wasn't very good you notify them via PM that their reports aren't actually report worthy and post a link to the reported post in question.

Honestly, I'm not sold that the full forum-style customizable profiles are really necessary. The direction they seem to be going is trying to tie your in-game account in with your forum account a little more. The summoner icon and display of your summoner level are just two examples of this. I also know they are planning to put in some method of showing the badges to show your past ranked achievements in your profile as well.

What I would like to see, profile-wise, is something that eventually feels pretty heavily integrated with the game client. Perhaps even to the point of having access to your friends list on there, to quickly view their profiles or see their posts. Maybe even go so far as to let players view their runes, match histories, etc.
