Not a fan of scrolling to highlighted posts when following links
Not the biggest problem in the world, but I don't like how when I click on a link to a specific post in a discussion (e.g. anything in the red tracker), the following happens:
- Click link
- Page loads
- I start reading the first po--
- All of a sudden my browser is scrolling on down to the linked post, no matter how hard I try to scroll back up
Does this bother anyone else? If the goal is to get to the linked post, I'd really like to travel there instantly, like how Wikipedia does it (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arc_de_Triomphe#Access e.g.), or at least stop trying to take me to the post once I've desperately attempted to stay in the same place with the scroll wheel. The smooth scroll down to the post is very slick and HTML5-y but I can't say it's adding anything to the experience.
