How does this reddit crap work?

I'm faced with the inevitable: Riot is going to shut down General Discussion and make this the official forums. It was pretty obvious from the way IronStylus responded in an earlier thread in which he refused to answer game-related questions unless it was posted on here. So instead of trying to fight against the inevitable, I'll attempt to assimilate into the new forums before s**t hits the fan. Would anyone mind giving me a quick tutorial on how to use the Community Beta? By the way, if any Red sees this, could you unban this account from the other forums? I want to enjoy what little time I have left on there with my actual account and not a bunch of smurfs.

EDIT: I can't even attach images so that the image itself appears with my post, great.

There's a great link at the bottom right of any post that says "formatting guide" that will cover most of the stuff you'll need. It also includes how to properly embed pics like so: http://i.imgur.com/sP1vM2J.jpg (note that it won't show the pic in the preview, beta is beta) That was listed as "http_://i.imgur.com/sP1vM2J.jpg" w/o the underscore.

Headers start with: # and will decrease in size with more ##, ###, ####

Dividing lines like this:

can be had with "---" starting on a new line.

And champ/item/spell icons can be had with the nice toolbar at the top with simply clicking summoner 21 Diana item 3005

Great idea summoner show case the new forum, I have no idea what I'm doing, and bring the forum bagels they are useful.
