Why NA boards is more lively and more detailed than EUNE boards? Sometimes i feel it unfair that NA always gets the fun while EUNE gets the... uhm... dust (what a rhyme). Riot only cares about NA? They hate EUNE? They don't know where the region of EUNE is? Look at all those details. There are 17 parts on the NA boards while there are only 10 on EUNE (Hungarian version). I just feel that NA boards help people get together and more social.
The answer is simple: one language.
Riot is after all an American company so it's obvious they'd first tend to their own, but aside of that a lot comes from the fact NA has way more people speaking one language than any nation in Europe, thus allowing for more traffic on the forum. In other words, more languages causes fragmentation of the player base, resulting in a lesser traffic and need to evolve the boards. And far from everyone speaks English at a decent enough level to use it outside of the most basic communication. People want to use their own language if they can and localization takes a great deal of time and effort.
