Ranked Placement System Should be Changed

I for one think that your rank placement should be changed so that people who have a good K/D/A, and don't leave(or afk), or have bad attitudes, during the match should be awarded a higher rank (yes i do think win/loses should count also). But individual performance should be just as important as how good you work with your team. right now i am 0/2 in my provisional's, my first match i went Leblanc (went 7/4/5) and was positive and saying good job for anything good that happened on are team, i roamed and tried to help are bot lane in which Draven went 3/10/2, and he was against Caitlyn I killed her a few times and end game came and she carried ending up in my first loss. My second match I went Malzahar and went (15/12/9), but during champion select are second pick vayne who also asked to be adc locked in then 4/5th pick came by and both locked in Leona and Varus , they went top leaving Vayne to go bot(they both lost lane hard). the enemy ended up carrying along with the enemy Vi jungle who got in on the kills and ending up in my second loss. I am expecting getting in lower bronze because of the way i see this current rank system working out. This is why i think rank system should be changed so you get rewarded on individual skill and not just the way your team ends up doing as a whole.

The issue with going based on individual KDA is that it can be interpreted many different ways. It may be an indicator that someone was doing their job, but this isn't always the case.

  1. Supports and Tanks would normally have significantly lower KDAs than AD and AP carries.

  2. You cannot base KDAs on Champion intended roles as that will not necessarily be how the champion is played. (ie. Mid Sona, Support Annie)

  3. The player's KDA and actual team contribution may not stack up. The player may have simply taken kills from his teammates without ever doing a decent amount of damage, or racked up assists by getting in one or two hits, then afk'd at base while still appearing to have done their job according to KDA. Me having 14 out of the 20 kills on my team as Caitlyn but having done less than 20% of the damage to enemy champions doesn't mean nearly as much as me being 4-5-9 Caitlyn and having done over 40% of the damage to enemy champions in terms of doing my job as a Marksmen/ADC.

  4. It's hard to reward "individual skill" in a team-based game. The point of the game is to work with a team of four others to destroy the enemy nexus. Unless you quite literally won a 1v5 match from beginning to end, you cannot deny that your team was required to win the match. The object is simply to win. How you accomplish that with your team is irrelevant. How your team acquired gold and how the gold was distributed is irrelevant. All that matters in determining whether you should climb higher is whether or not you were able to win, which you weren't.

Hope this clears a few things up.
