Some players worked hard for their badges and it should be displayed somehow as on GD. Might not be a big factor but I still believe it should be included. Is there any reason why they were not included?
I agree that we should be able to see ranked badges, but for a different reason.
I want to be able to see ranked badges so that I know which posts aren't worth reading and which ones are worth reading.
If you're that concerned with showing off your ranked position, use the summoner icons that you've earned through season-end rewards.
I agree. Maybe display them when you hover over a person's name, where it says their level?
There's already enough people running around screaming about how people of such-and-such a rank are trash and should uninstall/get cancer/hang themselves/whatever method of torture or death the community is on about these days. there's no need to bring up rank and it just makes things bad all around when people do most times.
The only time I can see bringing up ranking being appropriate is when or if people can be understanding about the differences. For example, yes, in bronze division there's not a ton of usage of wards. We know that. We also know that compared to higher-ranked games, being in bronze or silver can practically be a different game. Champions are picked there that aren't viable in higher rankings, etc.
If we can drop the snobbish elitism towards ranks, then go ahead and put them in. But considering that I doubt we can, it's probably best to leave them out.
Ranked badges do show up. The Season 3 badges are broken currently, but seasons previous will show on a user's summoner icon when you hover over a user's name.
