Should Divisions be displayed?

Personally I think there is a great opportunity here to have a user's division displayed next to their name. Specifically for sub-communities such as "Gameplay & Strategy" it would be extremely beneficial to know whether I am in a discussion with a Diamond I player or a Bronze V player.

I am aware that this could cause some problems in that people won't respect what Bronze V players say, but, to be honest, should they? Obviously division means nothing in most of the sub-communities, but in Gameplay & Strategy I think it really does matter. If there is a discussion about team compositions or lane matchups I would definitely trust the opinions of a Diamond player over that of a Bronze.

Maybe give players the option to show/hide their division in their profile?

If it's opt-in, than it's okay. If it's not then I'm not with it because people might fear to get pushed off because of their low rating/division.

Let the people who want to display their division (in/for every post or comment) and let those who don't just be like they want to. Having it for everyone just feels very forced.

this make sense because i have seen really bad players saying things like Garen OP, or Teemo IMBA and you cant really argue with them. These comments can be misleading for new players (like me).

I think this makes sense, everyone can already look you up on Lolking regardless.

The same thing kind of happened when they linked the Armory to the Blizzard community and people just ended up using low-level accounts if they wanted to troll without being easily seen. I think it'll be alright, anyone who's going to try and disregard an opinion because of Elo/Division was doing it before the new forums anyway.

i think this would be bad as any thing that a low ranking player were to post would get down voted and ignored.

staff would ignore low rank input and suggestions

This idea isn't bad at all. However I do agree that this may cause problems and disrespect from one another. Should division be displayed across all boards? No. Should it be involved in some others like Gameplay & Strategy? Sure, why not. If anything, it wouldn't be too bad to have a setting option for the user to choose whether they would want to display their division or not.

I agree that they should, particularly in the Gameplay & Strategy. It would be nice to see directly who is in which division, and be able to take their advice accordingly.

Yea i don't think that this would be a good idea. I understand that there are people in bronze that don't really have much understanding of the game or that might make a comment without really thinking it through in a "Gameplay & Strategy" sub-community but that does not mean that all players in that division are like that. If it's an opt-in like Yisery said i think it would be ok.

I believe this isn't the greatest idea, there is already too much discrimination towards silver- players as it is. While it would be nice you would see in no time that diamonds, plats, etc would begin to talk down to bronze, silver, etc. just because they can and because it is so prominently displayed.
