Hey Riot board worker people. There isn't a board for clan and team recruitment. This leaves communities trying to recruit in the dust. Could you make a board for this and set it up like you did the GD forum where chronological/last post is always at the top? Otherwise you will have communities making new posts every day when theirs aren't shown. Thanks.
Tamat6 votesWe've been holding off creating this until the demands is really high. For now you can post recruitment stuff in Misc. We'll be watching, and if there's a lot of recruitment discussions created, we'll go ahead and create a board for it.
RiotRiot Auberaun2 votesBut how do you expect people to find teams if they want to be competitive outside of meeting four other players in solo queue? The way it is in Misc. right now, there's recruitment posts mixed in with memes and other random discussions. It's not like the Clan & Recruitment board is even competing with any other board for content. When I started playing competitively in season 2, and even up until now, the recruitment board was how I found teams, because there's not really any other alternative if you're not already in the "in" crowd.
MrBuffington1 votesHi Tamat, in a somewhat related note, just wondering if you had any updates on user created, private boards, for instance so only a team or clan can view the content. Just for things like discussing team strategies and such, so you don't have to wait for everyone to log on to the client (nor is that chat really the best place to discuss things at length) or use some external application. Lil Lewd Witch1 votesThere is already a large group in my opinion, maybe not considering the ENTIRE LoL community but a very large number of people used the old section daily, I always used it because I think ranked 5s is the most fun part in the game. And now it's back to being incredibly difficult and tedious. I really hope you guys put a quick action into getting this section going again, it was the only section I even used mainly off the old boards.
Dont get me wrong though I love the smooth and cool look of these new boards but it's missing my very favorite section, haha The faster, the better. Thanks, BIitzkrieg

That is an "ok" response but it took me 15 minutes to find this post. You cant expect everyone to just know where to make these posts.
Math Test3 votesI think this might be a case of which comes first. I think with the default sorting being upvotes or whatever you wish to call it will make recruitment posts disappear, resulting in people reposting them every day at least to get some visibility. So the question is, if the current sorting discourages posting threads like that because of the reason I stated, then you will end up not seeing many recruitment posts, making it appear as though the need is low, when in reality the people using it are just aware of the difficulties and don't bother. I think it might be better to make the board, see how much use it gets after a period of time, then remove it if you feel it is underutilized. This way you can see the real use it gets because there won't be anyone discouraged by the new sorting methods. (I realize you can change sort order, but I don't think many people will do that in Misc. or whatever simply in hopes that recruitment posts will be on top. Most users leave things as they are default). I think putting the onus of board creation on users who may think the board is going to be made when the designers have all the cards when it comes to board creation and removal is slightly unfair.
On an unrelated note, is there going to be some sorting, alphabetical or otherwise, of the board navigation list? It's really poking at my OCD-ness. Also, GD is pretty non-descript for people who aren't typically members of the GD community, maybe rename to General Discussion? :P
Also, make the board or I'll have to give you a math test for real. I mean it. Don't test me (hue).
lorewise1 votesYeah but they can't just disable it once they create it. I don't see why they wouldn't make one to begin with but that's one of those things where if they do and then take it away there's going to be some part of the player base that gets miffed about that.

Well, right now they have miffed the many communities and teams who rely on it to recruit. If they made it, no one would be miffed. The forum before was well used, more than enough to warrant it's existence. I see zero downside to making it, and have not seen a compelling case as to why not to make it except "we didn't, but maybe if people make threads they are waiting to make in an area won't create unless they make those threads elsewhere" which is ridiculous logic. I'll be pretty disappointed, as will many others, if this board isn't made.
