well cops probably came to his house for real 5 mins ago and seized his comp for evidence. Will he get arrested now? Probably not. Anyone believes he actually encouraged those guys? I think not. I think that guy is mega cool and didnt do anything wrong.

I think you'd be surprised the lengths that people would go to for fame. But I'll reserve judgement as to his involvement until the matter is sorted out and official statements are released.

I agree with your stance, but im talking as a direct witness of the last 3-4 hrs of his stream. Ppl who think the contrary of me are also free of saying what they think. I think the worse is to keep those things hidden and secret. 100k ppl were watching atm he left his comp.

Oh I'm not saying you're wrong or anything like that. And I haven't been watching the stream or following the Twitter because I refuse to give either of them attention off of this (also why I've avoided posting the link on the forums to either of those).

Yeah man i think you have a healthy way of reacting to this. BUT (!) it was so interesting to watch it live. There are so many implications. Ex.: what if a random group of hacking-capable lolers actually decided to take matters in hand? (which I believe happened but eh who knows for real) What if credit-card information was stolen? What if I could actually get my gold v today but i couldnt because of those guys? (prolly not) You have to admit that there is material for entertainment in those events. And I also believe in the good judgment of viewers into not idolizing hackers. Im sure so much more ppl were pissed at that rather than impressed.

You make some good points, and what you said is certainly viable. But I'd rather spend my time here attempting to calm people down and make them see reason. Or playing FIFA 14 and eating bacon for entertainment. Still, to each their own, and I'm glad to see someone with a more level headed approach to this situation.

@SomeLamePun Nah PhantomL0rd isn't the type of person to want more fans. He made a crying video about how thankful he was for his fans and that we meant a lot to him.

I honestly really just don't want you to think of PL as a guy who is thirsty for views like MonkeyKing to Ahri :)

Is Riot trying on the case of even trying to solve this? Riot should of set up an anti-hacking program that starts up with the patch. I've been checking forums and I haven't seen anything about trying to fix the situation or problem anywhere.

Again, since a lot of people seem to not understand the scope of security related issues apparently, it is not that simple. You can't just google up some miracle fix when things like this happen. Finding an effective and long term solution takes time and effort. Furthermore, developing security counter-measures and systems is more time consuming and challenging then breaking in or bypassing the security. I'm sure that Riot as well as the other companies that have been affected are working to counteract or resolve the issues and everyone needs to just be patient and realistic. Unless you have a solution yourself (an actual implementable one not some crack pot theory or bullshit) it's advisable to let the professionals do their job and stop trying to critique what you don't understand.

Based off of the claims made by that Twitter account and the fact that is seems highly unlikely that multiple major gaming sites and servers would all crash for indefinite amounts of time for unknown reasons on the same day. League isn't the only service down, DOTA 2, BattleNet, and EA servers are all having issues. Furthermore, the way in which the issues are presenting and manifesting as problems is highly symptomatic of a cyber crime attack such as DDOSing or other malicious activites.

For those who don't know about the current situation: •A group called DERP is apparently DDoSing League of Legends NA/EU/OCE servers. They also took down Dota 2, Club Penguin, Battle.net, EA.com. They are taking down whatever game Phantoml0rd is playing (or perhaps, trying to play rolf). Most recent event is Phantoml0rd playing on OCE with stream fans and they took it down. •Phantoml0rd is going to talk with them on skype vent soon. Watch the stream if you would like to see more. So after the servers finally came up, I joined a normal blind pick game. Everything running smooth, in queue picked my champ, countdown. Then BAM!!Before champ wait screen, it happened! Froze at a black screen forever the champs screen didn't even load. I Alt + Tabbed out, then it says " You are unable to connect to server. If you have a firewall blacking this may be the problem. Refer to your firewall documents. Would you like to retry." If I click retry nothing happens. If i restart the process over again the same thing happens. I am stuck at an abandoned game screen now whenever i re log, and a game crash screen after i click cancel on the retry part. RIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do I do? Please give me something. I know its not my firewall, I've played countless games with my firewall settings as they are. Amumu summoner 1 item 3083
