Whats going with League! Its usually a very stable game, but lately it has been acting up. I lost two games because of a weird lag and everyone d/c .... Well... Waste of time and costed me 2 games.. Thank you Riot. Thank for NOT HELPING US.

You made this game and you know how many players you have SO YOU SHOULD HAVE THE SERVERS TO DEAL WITH THIS SORT OF THING! we don't pay to play this game so you can decide to cheap out on the tech to keep the game running!

MackleDoge6 votesIt doesn't matter, the fact is you play this game for free. You don't have to pay a single cent to play this game. Maintaining large scale servers isn't simple and sometimes things go wrong. Expecting perfection is the surest path to disappointment. Whine to your heart's content, but that sure isn't fixing a damn thing.

MackleDoge4 votesOh no, I recognize entirely that there are issues. I just feel that having things like this on the forums is a bad thing. Why do people find it necessary to post things like this? They already have a Service Status Forum to declare when there are issues and update people on the progress of the fix. I don't agree with Riot's methodology of doing maintenance, but I also don't support flaming the company that gives us a game for free and insulting them when the vast majority of the community has no idea what they are talking about or the work that running League requires.
Cerbearus2 votesRiot used to do that. When they screwed up with a patch or something, the game would be down for days at a time while they tried to fix it. Needless to say us people who played nothing but league were devastated... Instability is fine as long as Riot warns people about it so they know not to play ranked (sometimes Riot even disables ranked). This is also the reason there is an automatic "loss prevented" system

Travaran2 votesThe game may be free to play but everyone knows you're going to spend money on it at some point, Riot and other companies who've made free to play games know this. You may not spend as much money on this as you would a game like World of Warcraft but still.
MackleDoge2 votesYou are not required to spend money on it. That's the point. Someone can play this game from beta until League shuts down and never have to spend a single penny. Will most people spend something at some point? Yes. But that doesn't mean that the game isn't entirely free. Any expenditure is entirely optional. Plus League isn't even pay to win like a lot of MMO's tend to be nowadays.

Out of the four who haven't, three of them own all of the champions from playing for a long time and getting them with IP or have been gifted them, but have never purchased a single cent worth of RP. I understand that the majority will at some point purchase a small amount, but it is foolish to purposefully ignore that there are those who don't and will never. Plus, this ignores entirely those who don't have the money to put into the game, those who don't have the time to play enough to make putting money into the game worth it, and those that create multiple smurf accounts and never put money into the smurf accounts.

Twinperson2 votesIf what people are saying is true, and League is being DDOSed, then Riot can't really help the servers going down. Yeah it sucks if you are a 'paying customer' or not. But fact of the matter is, even a large company like Riot wouldn't be able to handle unlimited login requests from a DDOS. At least they are working actively to fix it.

TWO games crashed, while in one none of my abilities even went off, died all of a sudden when clearly enemy team was also lagged out. items bought magically disappear, and all for riot to say my firewall may be the reason for this activity try closing it and try reconnecting?? makes no damn sense as much as this game profits off all players and events its horrible to see such a well loved game not work. riot, businesses lose good people to other businesses because they don't get taken care of, in case you completely forgot, your friendly friends over at steam have a wonderful game called dota 2 that's more than willing to sweep riot players away. sorry for the words, just talking out of anger. please fix your multi million maker.

Roaranor2 votesWasn't there an in-client notification that there were issues with server connectivity and that Ranked queues were disabled accordingly (Riot's way of letting you know that they've noticed the issues)? A better question, why are you blaming Riot because of your own decision to play through a period of server issues? I'm pretty sure you had to the option to simply hold off on playing until the server issues were resolved (a good indicator being Riot re-enabling Ranked queues).

It would be the same thing if the entire league community went to a small server game and joined all at once. I don't really see how this is Riot's fault. They can't really control how many 'people' decide to play their game.
