Riot is only human

It irritates me to see all of these complaints about the servers being down for a while. Sure, I've been busy all day and I wanted to sit down for a game or two and couldn't. But that's no reason to say how much Riot sucks and how they need to fix everything. They aren't perfect, and neither are the people who are complaining. The company only has so much to work with; I don't believe they're actually sitting on mounds of money. It will all be back to normal soon enough, with all of the haters throwing their weekly allowances into RP, and everyone having a decent time. Let Riot fix their issues without criticism.

I agree with you and all, but a lot of people buy things in this "free game". And not only have hundreds of thousands of people spent money on LoL, but I myself have spent the vast majority of my free time playing this game. I have over 1800 normal wins and over 1700 losses. Not going to do the math but that's a very long amount of time I've invested in this free to play game and some people have been playing longer than I have so I can definitely see why some people are getting frustrated.

might i add, the connectivity issues experienced today were in no way or even tied to riot (other than being their servers). It was a directed DDoS attack at the lol login servers that ate so much bandwidth it brought the game and servers to a grinding halt.

if you want to scream hate at someone, send it to Phantoml0rd on twitch. it was his actions that started all this.

I don't blame Riot because there is literally nothing they and their service providers can do to stop DDOS attacks.

People who are complaining are idiots because they think Riot has any choice in the matter.

These people are bombarding the service with enough 'users' to cause lag for entire countries. There is nothing you can do, except wait for it to stop and change a few very basic things. It's not a coding issue or something Riot has direct control over.

Thing is people have no idea that DDOS's are extremely common and there is no countermeasure because companies typically choose to hide the events. Same guys that caused the server issues took down Battle.Net, EA.com, Dota (lagged) etc.
