Regarding Link Formatting

Can we get the base link formatting to be always invisible if there's no text in between the brackets? It's invisible if there's a link in the parenthesis, but that's not quite as useful.

There are three link-formatting-boxes below this paragraph. Click Quote on this post to see the source, which should show the third. I would like all of them to be invisible, again: unless there's text between the brackets.

To reiterate:

{quoted}

The point is, this is what I see: http://puu.sh/fMF8l.png

This is what others see: http://puu.sh/fMFij.png

This is what I want others to see: http://puu.sh/fMFmF.png

And why do you put link without text in the link syntax? If you want to post raw link, just do it:

http://www.google.com

If you want link with text, then use the proper code:

[Google](http://www.google.com)

You can display source without it being formatted by using the \ character.

For example, typing:

\*Hi\*

Shows up as

*Hi*
