That is the main reason Boards is a graveyard. If we liked Reddit we would have been over there. We liked the traditional forums formatting, not this Reddit garbage.

Sounds to me more like 'START LISTENING TO ME' because not everybody shares your opinion and forums are pretty far from dead.
Riot can't do everything everybody says, because the amount of contradiction in what everybody says makes it impossible.
Listening =/= doing Personally I wouldn't be worried about some little kid on my forum throwing a tantrum because Riot isn't doing what I personally want.

While I'm not a huge fan of the boards, I can certainly attest to the fact that you don't speak for everyone. At least I hope not... Being a snotty, disrespectful keyboard warrior that makes demands and calls people names over the internet makes you look like a child and gives Riot absolutely no reason to take you seriously or even listen to your cries. As much as I am angry, I am angry towards inconclusive results. I'm more pitched against gameplay issues.
The boards seem to have axed red activity (or else it's just congealed where it shouldn't be), and the format is a bit gawky to me and makes for very poor reading compared to a typical forum format. I don't particularly like that the popular comments hit top because that's not always terribly relevant, although the red checker is a very good solution in lieu of trash burying relevant red comments.
It does mean that it seems less likely that lower posts will get read and it makes me wonder if the purpose wasn't to filter out aimless discussion on forums-- both a plus and a minus, as relevant stuff is easily readable in any thread but one might miss relevancy all the same if it's not counter as popular enough.
So suffice it to say I have my complaints about boards too.
Nonetheless, even having said all that I do not throw my lot in with these types. I've gotten angry, for sure, but it's always tried to be to a constructive point. This isn't constructive or conducive discussion, this is someone projecting Reddit hate.

It's funny actually; I have been consistently critical of the platform since the transition from the old forums, and I have gotten responses like this before. I'm basically as far from a reddit White Knight as you can possibly get without being outright hostile.
There will always be stupid people trying to say random crap, we just have to ignore them. :)

Trylobyte4 votesMost of the old forums outside of GD were graveyards even before the move, and GD was probably 95% shitposting anyway. I find myself spending less time on the new forums than the old ones, yes, but that's because it's a lot easier for me to find what I want to read, post what I want to say, and get it all done and over with compared to the old format.
And honestly, if the way a forum is laid out is enough to stop someone from sharing their opinion, then it probably wasn't that important to them anyway. If they cared, they'd post.

Daen3 votesActually, if you were to, y'know, not be ridiculously biased, you would see that the most common type of feedback is referencing missing features or changes. Feedback requesting a reversion to the original forums and feedback about the platform being great/perfect are a significant minority.
My personal opinion is that the Boards has a lot of potential but most of it is being completely underutilized and decisions aren't being made in the best interests of the community.

See, before, even if I got bored/tired of/frustrated with this game, I'd still read the forums or browse them at work, and eventually it would reignite my desire to play. Now, these forums only cause distaste. They suck, and I don't browse them, and it's hard to get the desire to really play again.
