So Riots deleting all threads complaining about anything they do bad now

CarrierKestral··2 votes·1,207 views

Somehow it wouldn't surprise me if soon they release something that says "look guys we're doing better there are less complaints now"

They deleted your garbage because you can't resist name and shaming your teammates.

CarrierKestral2 votes

didn't realize league was a child day care center.

Deep Terror Nami8 votes

You don't have to be a child to want to enjoy a friendly environment. If you think a mature or adult environment means everybody trash talking each other and being rude, then you're in for a very bad life.

CarrierKestral1 votes

and if you think everybody wins in a competitive environment because everyone "just wants to have fun" you need to leave your house for once.

Deep Terror Nami8 votes

You made zero sense before, but somehow you have succeeded in being even more nonsensical. Nobody but you has mentioned anything about "winning by having fun".

CarrierKestral2 votes

so i went from zero sense in your mind to zero sense in your mind, I fail to see how this is noteworthy other than how shally you are if you think holding an opinion is a big deal. If this were about winning I would be talking about win rate, but I'm talking about having a fair chance at climbing the ranked ladder. So go take your preschooler mindset back into normals please. the concepts we're talking about in here are apparently above you.

Deep Terror Nami8 votes

I feel sorry for you, I really do. Insulting everyone around you appears to be the only way for you to have self-worth. You should probably seek help for that. This is a game. People come here to have fun; just because it's competitive doesn't mean they want people like you around to ruin the fun.

CarrierKestral1 votes

I dont feel sorry for professional victims like you. check your ego before you tell others to check theirs. or just stick to threads about normal games since the concept of competitive play is beyond you.

Deep Terror Nami6 votes

Your toxic behavior is not wanted nor warranted in any game mode, ranked or not. Nothing you can say will change that.

And how am I a professional victim? I'm not getting anything out of it if you stop being toxic; you benefit, and your teammates do.

CarrierKestral2 votes

when your entire argument is "oh he's insulting me so clearly he is wrong", your being a professional victim

Deep Terror Nami5 votes

No, the community as a whole has decided you are wrong. Not me.

CarrierKestral2 votes

bandwagoning, classical.

When you can't back up your argument or refute others just resort to the tried and true troll tactic, insult and belittle and hope they won't continue exposing you as a troll or jerk.

As far as competitive play goes I played Cs competitively in CAL league kept a 2.25 kd ratio and did quite well. I've won pro-am bowling tournaments and have my 300 ring and trophy. I ran track and cross country in high school and did well. I've played a lot of competitive sports as well as other things so your meaningless insults are nothing to me and just prove you have no argument.

The bottom line is this, it's Riot's game and they set the rules and decided you're not following the rules so they take what actions they feel are appropriate. Just because most of the community doesn't want to hear your constant whining and inflated ego doesn't mean we're wrong or better than you. It means we don't want to hear about your inflated ego and complaining.

If we wanted to deal with that we could go to the local junior high and watch 6th graders strut around like peacocks and brag about how great they are in sports.

CarrierKestral2 votes

Riot wasn't so interested in "toxic" players until people like you started complaining about them en mass. now that half of the ranked players have been banned out riot goes and says "we're doing great guys, clearly our system is working and our community is better", yet consistently you get threads like mine. Meanwhile, then you have people like, strutting around like 6th grade peacocks, crying about how "it's unfun when I feed and get called out on it".

Try making an argument before claiming someone isn't opposing it.

Rofl, that's pretty bad there, half the ranked players have been banned now. Where'd you make that up from since that's not even close to being true otherwise ranked would have hour or longer queue times. This is why everyone down votes you into oblivion because you keep making up facts and using Straw Mans to bolster your arguments.

As far as threads consistently like yours, please of course we do get them. Most of the community doesn't even come to the forums let alone know they exist. The common denominator with threads like this is the qqing about how you can't climb out of Bronze or silver etc and how it's always everyone else's fault and not your's.

You exhibit classic signs of the following just like all the other posters like you. If it's such a big issue then why aren't the forums flooded with 32 million posts from the over 32 million players who've got individual accounts? You provided nothing other than the tired arguments that've been disproven and exposed as such. The only thing that you've done is managed to blame others for your issues.

The Dunning-Kruger effect, named after David Dunning and Justin Kruger of Cornell University, occurs where people fail to adequately assess their level of competence — or specifically, their incompetence — at a task and thus consider themselves much more competent than everyone else. This lack of awareness is attributed to their lower level of competence robbing them of the ability to critically analyse their performance, leading to a significant overestimate of themselves.

If you were so great you'd be able to carry yourself out of Bronze just like all the other people that manage to do so. The pro's managed to do it by mastering different champs and learning everything they could. When they 1st started out they had to deal with the same things as you did and want to know the big difference? They didn't blame everyone else for their shortcomings, they overcame them.

As long as you continue to blame others and don't improve yourself you'll continue to be stuck where you are. So are you going to stay stuck in Bronze forever blaming everyone else or overcome your shortcomings and improve?

unliteral stat is unliteral. sorry I dont regard you as professional enough to warrent solid evidence? not like you'd ignore it or anything....ohwait...

"The common denominator with threads like this is the qqing about how you can't climb out of Bronze or silver etc and how it's always everyone else's fault and not your's."

poeple complaining so they must be bad at the game and never is the fault of anyone else...gee what does that sound like the inverse of? blaming everyone but yourself when you have yourself to blame? funny how that works....

"you exhibit classic signs of the following just like all the other posters like you. If it's such a big issue then why aren't the forums flooded with 32 million posts from the over 32 million players who've got individual accounts?"

mentioning this after mentioning " Most of the community doesn't even come to the forums let alone know they exist." kinda defeats your own point now doesnt it?

"The Dunning-Kruger effect, named after David Dunning and Justin Kruger of Cornell University, occurs where people fail to adequately assess their level of competence — or specifically, their incompetence — at a task and thus consider themselves much more competent than everyone else."

oh look, a red herring! funny how when I complain that I'm working to hard just to stay within my rank suddenly means I'm calling myself the equal of faker to you. you being a 4funner wouldnt understand the concept of work so I can forgive you this one.

"If you were so great you'd be able to carry yourself out of Bronze just like all the other people that manage to do so. The pro's managed to do it by mastering different champs and learning everything they could."

Because, as stated already in the thread you clearly didnt read, I'm not asking for a promotion. I'm asking for a fair match within my rank so I can actualy learn something instead of getting trolostompped into oblivion because I had to carry a full silver team against a full daimond team. ohwait you cant comprehend satire, let me fix that. I shouldnt have to constantly perform at platnum level just to keep a 0.50 w/l ratio within gold 5/4 when I'm not a pro yet.

"When they 1st started out they had to deal with the same things as you did and want to know the big difference? They didn't blame everyone else for their shortcomings, they overcame them."

yes because pro's are known for carrying 1v5 against a full team of faker clones using scripts.....you fucking w0t?

"As long as you continue to blame others and don't improve yourself you'll continue to be stuck where you are. So are you going to stay stuck in Bronze forever blaming everyone else or overcome your shortcomings and improve?"

As long as you continue to commit cardinal sin #1 of game creation A.K.A. blame the player first syndrome you'll never understand what competitive play is. Even if we asume that, as you say, match making is working as intended then I am only 1/5th responsible for a bad game. Unless you really want to sudgest I control the 4 other poeple on my team.

to reiteriate, just incase it isnt clear, I have a problem with the matchmaking not giving me a fair chance, not with bad players being bad and good players being good.

In other words hot air is being expelled and you can't be bothered to back up your claims with proof since you've got nothing again. Now sinCe you fail to read what I've said let me state it again in big bold letters.

I'VE PLAYED COMPETITIVE SPORTS AND DID WELL, I'VE PLAYED COMPETITIVE GAMING AND DID WELL YOU ON THE OTHER HAND WANT TO BLAME EVERYONE ELSE BUT YOURSELF. I'VE WON SWIMMING IN HIGH SCHOOL, WON TRACK EVENTS IN HIGH SCHOOL, WON BOWLING TOURNAMENTS AND BEAT OUT SOME OF THE PRO'S THAT PLAYED, I'VE PLAYED COMPETITIVE CS AT A HIGH LEVEL AND MAINTAINED A HIGH RANK.

If you've got any other Straw Mans, Ad Hominems, etc you'd like to try go right ahead and keep on trying to use them.

so, despite all of your competitive experience, not once have you ever run into an imbalanced match in which all sides did not have at fair chance at victory? if so, you need to stop attending child day care hosted competitions. in those "everyone's a winner" championships there is no competition, but I dont expect a child like you to notice that.

But do go ahead and keep screaming that I'm blaming players when I've clearly stated I'm not. screaming it into that echobox of a bandwagon must do wonders for your ego though.

also quite comedic that you cry about me not addressing your points when none of your points correctly addressed mine.

Oh I've never stated that not once, it's happened a lot in all of my competitive games. It's just that complaining about it does nothing to help better myself in the long run. Now sure I've complained about it but I'm still going to try and win even when it's hopeless because there's always the chance the other team will get cocky and I've been on teams in SR where we were dominating so badly that the other team kept trying to surrender.

We lost a lot of those games because of our arrogance and the other team sticking it out and working together. Also I'm not screaming you're blaming others just stating what you yourself have been doing which is blame others. If you go back and look at your posts that's what you've been doing. What I've been trying to get you to do is look at your own gameplay and think of the times you've screwed up and made mistakes.

How many games have you lost because you missed that follow up, missed that ult, didn't ward properly/see that gank coming etc. If all you do is focus on everyone else you won't ever overcome your own mistakes and become better and carry harder. Just remember that the other teams have some of those issues as well.

One of the best ways to think of it who has the worst idiot and who can carry their idiot harder. Those can take the weaknesses of others and overcome them with their strengths will win more than they lose. If you're spending so much time focusing on everyone else's bad play you're not making good plays of your own. Remember no one has made you captain nor said lead us, to lead you have to lead by example and if you play good you'll tend to help influence others.

You're playing with complete strangers not some friends in solo queue so it behooves you to remember that. As you stated earlier if someone came up to you on the street you'd get upset if they started insulting you. I used to play pickup basketball games all the time and made a lot of friends that way. But the one common rule all of us followed no matter who's team we were on was mutual respect with some good natured trash talking about shooting etc.

When strangers would come and start being extremely physical to the point of almost assaulting people they got kicked off the court. They were used to punching each other on other courts but on the one we played on it wasn't accepted behavior. In time the court we played on got flooded with people because most of the good players played there and people liked the atmosphere.

We even had little tourneys and rotated people in an out and had barbecues with the neighbors all because we respected each other enough not to be complete jerks to each other. The point I'm trying to make here is focus on yourself and not everyone else and be respectful of everyone else even if they're not with you since the moment you flame them you become like them.

If you look at the pro's you don't see them berating each other on stage nor do you see most of them being complete jackasses in chat. I've watch Skumbag Krepo play and he plays in EUW and you should see the chat he deals with sometimes. He doesn't flame back because he's better than them in the sense he's not going to drop to their level.

Lastly I did answer some of your stuff you just didn't see it that way and you may in fact be worthy of higher tiers but unless and until you stop blaming others your skill will be overlooked because all that noise from complaining drowns it out. Why don't you play with a duo partner or get a ranked team together with people you know and rank up that way?

If you want some friendly advice on how to handle a given situation I'll gladly give some things I've learned over the years in dealing with plenty of jerks both as a competitive gamer and as an admin.

Let's dispense with the personal attacks and insults from both sides and this will go much better.

Apparently you can't read can you. did you fail to notice where I said i also did other sports, no you didn't you couldn't be bothered to actually read what I wrote since that'd refute your entire post. I swam competitively, I was a goalie in water polo, I ran track and cross country, I also played basketball. But far be it from em to try and help you read anything since it's obvious you're not here for discussion but to troll.

Oh and bowling an old person sport really? Then why is it an olympic sport and why is it the average age of the bowlers are in their 30's and the pro's make millions each year? Perhaps if you got out more and actually researched it you'd know better. Have you actually won any of the sports you've been in or are you just blowing hot air as well?

So oh Captain troll, got anymore Straw Man arguments, Ad Hominem attacks or anything else filled with hot air you want to try using?

Since we're talking about feeding here how about your stats where you're feeding according to your own standards.

5/13/4 Urgot

5/7/2 Urgot

11/12/5 Zed

1/7/1 Zed Great feed job there.

1/9/1 Zed Ditto

3/7/0 Zed

3/7/5 Zed

3/7/7 Zed

Sure seems like a lot of feeding there using your own logic so by your logic you shouldn't be playing a ranked game then should you? Oh and how many games have you left to get hit by Leaverbuster since based upon your posts a lot. Now why don't you also tell us how many games you've been chat restricted since you've also probably been hit by a lot.

Bottom line you're trolling and trying to pass the blame isn't going to work, Riot's set the rules you agreed to follow them. If you can't handle that than you can either uninstall and never come back or riot can keep banning/chat restricting you until they do it for you.

if you don't wanna hear someone complaining then maybe don't queue for a ranked game when you dont know what the hell you're doing

They actually do allow people being toxic to not say anything, that's called chat restrictions. They can also still report people for being toxic via chat, trolling, feeding etc. The only way they can't report is if they're report value is so low from falsely reporting the system simply ignores their reports. Most of the community uses the ping system to communicate without much trouble. There's even pro players that use only pings to communicate and quite a few streamers do as well.

then stay the fuck out of ranked queue's rofl.

The competitive part is what makes it fun for some (most). Most people aren't intending to sacrifice a friendly environment to have a competitive one; it is not necessary. There is no justification to be a jerk, at any time for any reason in any mode against any person.

Daen1 votes

Most people aren't intending to sacrifice a friendly environment to have a competitive one; it is not necessary.

This is a really important distinction. At its heart, the spirit of competition is meant to enhance the experience; it's not a conversion or a replacement. Kicking a ball around is enjoyable, organizing it into a team sport includes that enjoyment in something much greater.

Well the name and shame rules are still in effect from when the forums were 1st created back in S1 and with good reason. That's to prevent witch hunts and false accusations since you can photoshop anything to make someone look bad.

Threads that violate the forum rules or troll threads like the op's been posting will of course get deleted which is a good thing since it keeps the forums clear of the garbage so to speak and lets people discuss other things including some ppl needing help.

This doesn't have anything to do with the OP and why his post was deleted. He was calling out his teammates on the forum, which is against forum policy, and that is why it was deleted.

In a completely different case such as the ones you posted, where there's a thread asking why they were banned, it depends on the moderator. If someone demands their ban be lifted or a reason be given for it and I (if I were a mod) and I see in their chat log that they are extremely toxic and the ban was no-contest, I'd delete their thread and ignore them too. Context is important.

CarrierKestral1 votes

CarrierKestral2 votes

hence why I'm getting balanced matches where I have a fair chance of victory that aren't complete and total stomp fests....ohwait....

Deep Terror Nami3 votes

You aren't meant to be evenly matched every time. Nobody is getting that because it doesn't make sense for matchmaking. Why don't you go read the FAQ about it in support? No of course you won't do that; you require an excuse for your losses that doesn't include "I'm not as good as I think I am and the matches were fair".

I've told you before but I'll say it again; nobody knows who you are or cares about your ranked status enough to rig your games. You can't even invent a reason that doesn't make you sound more loony.

Daen1 votes

For the most part I have agreed with you, but this comment I don't. From a player satisfaction perspective and just clarity in general, a policy like this would be pretty counter-productive. You (as the moderator) might be able to clearly see why the player deserved his or her ban, but the rest of the community doesn't have access to that information. Lack of information generally allows incorrect or strong opinions to become more pervasive, which is very much a bad thing.

A great example of this is the Lyte Smyte transition. Before Lyte started publicly showing chat logs, quite a few people (not just the ones who were complaining about their well-deserved bans) were questioning the ability of the Tribunal to actively handle cases. This negativity spread throughout the community, eventually becoming pretty pervasive. When Lyte stepped in to show chat logs, people were able to see the legitimacy of the system and all the people that had jumped on the bandwagon for no reason were able to make a logical decision and step off.
