Honestly I cant stand these boards. The forums was so nice to look at and this just killed it imo. Obviously there is more features and what not but this was just not needed at all and destroyed the forum community. I don't really understand why something so good had to be changed and ruined like this. Also where the hell is GD? Ugh.. whoevers idea it was to turn the forums into reddit needs to stay on reddit and not destroy our forums. #morningrant

While this environment is awesome at promoting thoughtful discussion, I think, it lacks a certain "homey" environment that old GD had.

It's really important for a forum to be inviting; frequent users spend a ton of time using the interface and looking at the general aesthetic, so if it's not appealing it loses a lot.

I love reddit, I just dont like the idea of them bringing the style here and completely replacing the old forums with it. Also like the titles says, I just cant stand the color theme and how it generally looks. Light colors are more appealing imo, this feels gloomy and uninteresting. Also this wasn't something that was necessary or that the community needed so the common question flying around the boards is just, why? I honestly feel like the boards weren't even QA'd because someone must have realized that this isn't a change for the better. "New isn't always better"

Now you see, this is way better than your original post, anyways, color schemes are something that can be arranged and while it wouldn't exactly be the best solution available, FEK imo will probably come out with something of the sort considering they already had it on the previous boards. Not the best solution I'll grant it to you but it is still something.
As for the reddit functionality, simply set the sorting on top of the page to "new" and it will act as any regular forum does for the threads. For posts, set it to chronological sorting. http://gyazo.com/a8a7e207913f98550c4c22587911ef78.png
I'll also give you that work still needs to be done on this place but the old boards just had some programming limits that had been reached long ago so Riot came up with a custom solution.
