Ranked LP

Now I have been playing LoL for about 2 years at least and would consider myself more than a decent player. Since before the end of the last season I was stuck in S1 for quite awhile. It wasn't the losses or anything that got me stuck but the LP system. On average I only got 4 lp per game and loss equal value. I've been stuck in the same division for a couple months now trying to change that but nothing at all helped. As of now I reached 97 LP and close to getting into gold. When I play games now I find gold and even platinum players but still no change for me in any way. I have about 30 or more wins over losses and a good 800+ games. Can someone please explain why the LP I earn is so low compared to other players?

From what I have heard its all about the MMR ratings but I've talked with a friend of mine who luckily made it to Gold V with this sort of issue after playing +100 games before the awards came out.

That's all I hear too but that makes no sense in the fact your mmr is basically the lp score you have which stays low to the fact you get almost no points.

Yeah, the system is quite...stressing at times.

I can tell. I'm just hoping I get out soon so I can go back to normal scaling
