Ok, so... i just played my games over the past few days.. i won 9 of the 10 placement games all of them being a complete stomp, i was thinking about where i was going to be placed... i was thinking about Silver 2/3 for being so far ahead of everyone i played against.. Obviously that is not the case... apparently not having more than 3/4 deaths pergame equals being placed horribly..

So.. I played the placement games, i expect s2/3 i am placed in Bronze 4. Bronze 4!? how the heck is this possable..?!?? http://i.imgur.com/JvMzlpr.jpg

The record you get is irrelevant.

Provisionals work based of MMR - These matches are like your promo series all in one match.

When you first started ranked, you weren't placed in an division, so that means you'd start of fighting bronze opponents. If you can beat the bronze, you'll be place with silvers. If you beat the silvers, you'll be placed with golds. If you can't beat the golds, you'll linger around silver/gold until the 10 games have finished and the system has configured an MMR for you.

So for those who were ranked last season, you'd start around the level you were already at then work your way up/down.

I can't draw any accurate conclusions with you unless I get the stats from all your games sadly.

What I did during mine was to lolnexus the people I was playing with (to see what they were last season) to figure out around what rank I was playing in.

I was silver 1 last season - started first few promos with silvers/golds, half with golds alone, and the last 3 were with golds/plats. I ended up 9-1 Placed in Gold 3.

to conclude from this: Provisionals are based on who you play against, not your win/loss record.

it's all dependent on whatever your mmr was at the end of the preseason, not just the WIN/LOSS of the placement games.

What League/DIV were you in last season?

so last season i was b5 simply because ranked was worse than normals and i couldnt win a game if my life depended on it. this season i played norms until i felt good about doing my prov... right now i have won 7 out of my 10 games. still have 3 games to go. i went on lolking and everyone i have played against have been b5 n b4. how the F*** am i not playing better people if im beating them??? and im guessing when/if i finish my provs im going to be put back into b5-b4... i can honestly say i will stop playing league if that happens. i have played atleast once a week since the end of season 2 and usually play upwards of 10-15 games a day. im not going to put this much time into something if im not seeing the results...
