I'm okay with the boards being a shithole but...

Shouldn't the moderators, if they're totally fine with the status quo, not also enforce it by deleting any thread criticizing the central problems that cause said shitholery?

Doesn't that only enforce the status quo?

You get your threads deleted because you refuse to post on the proper boards or follow other forum guidelines.

I dunno, man, I think my threads are at least as relevant as "ohlawd, is it Christmas!?", "gib more refunds, pls", and "lol@all these noobs".

The very existence of a waste basket section like this one conveniently hides away all of those unruly criticisms and free thinking. It's like having a complaint box you never have to open.

You can post nearly anything you want in GD. There are no relevant content requirements. As the GD guidelines say, and I quote;

This is the wild wild west. Unlike the rest of the boards, anything goes. That is, unless it violates the Universal Rules. HAVE FUN KTHXBAI.

Apparently you can post anything you want in G&B as well, unless, like, I dunno, you have some sort of criticism of the board culture. That's bad wrong.

Where are the mods when it comes to doing anything other than just deleting whatever thread they don't like? Where's the preservation of environment, or quality? Why is abusing other posters totally fine so long as you don't do so by insulting their genitals?

Why can you have 30 threads about the same thing, that single thing being largely irrelevant to the board its on, mind you, and not have them so much as merged or having extras locked to contain discussion and prevent clutter?

Why are the only boards where anyone posts or reads impervious to criticism?

Why did we ever change to Reddit-lite? It's even worse than the old boards.

I can vouch for this.
