Riven

After playing with riven for a while I have noticed her shield has become a fancy animation/slight movement instead of what it is intended to be. The amount of damage it can absorb is not the problem, it is the time period in which the shield is active. The shield is meant to be a small gap closer/attacking ability but instead has become only a very small gap closer in which the enemy has the opertunity to hurt in simple by waiting the short time in which it takes for the shield to fade. I believe the shield should be returned to its original time period or start at its current time and grow along with her when the player levels the skill up.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Its not a matter of the higher numbers on the shield, any competent opponent waits the now 1.5 seconds for it to disappear to start doing damage. No matter how much damage the new shield will absorb, it will probably dissipate before it could shield any substantial damage. I don't understand how a champion could get nerfed so heavily. Riven is my main and the reason why I want to play league and I feel like shes been dragged through the mud to appease everyone in the community that complains about riven because they hate losing to her and playing the lane properly

I definitely agree with you. The old shield has saved me so many times from ignite or other dots. If the shieldduration would rise with levels, you could decide if you either increase your killingpotential or your tankyness. You just have to look at the stats. If a Riven comes out of laningphase with 6/0 she will probably end the game with 11/8 or something. The nerf on her shield may lower her laningphase but it definitely will hurt her during teamfights.
