How do I "pin" a thread?

Does anyone know how you pin a thread on this beta site? Or better yet, how to receive a notification for comments on a thread?

Hi Vengeance, pinning of threads is an action only admins can take. If you want to tell us more about what you're trying to accomplish we may be able to figure out another way to help.

As for notifications, you'll receive them automatically whenever someone replies to you in a discussion or on a discussion you have created. You will not receive them however if another player responds to an existing comment that isn't yours.

Pinning a thread I believe is reserved to moderation and staff, but notifications can be found on your player profile card up there (see: http://puu.sh/ae6ty/93fb9b1528.jpg)
