The boards Gameplay and Miscellaneous have both presented a mouse-over on the "Create a Discussion" button that states the player must be at least level-7 to use the feature.

says lvl 6 to me, and your boards profile should have updated after making this thread so......yeah. If you're really lvl 7+ in the game try making one more post to try to make sure that boards is sending the update request for the info and getting a reply back
The boards may not be in sync with the game. It should update after you posted this thread. If not, send in a support ticket and they can manually do it. (I had to do the support ticker route a few months back)
