[Idea] List of Reworks in Progress

Could we have a reworks page similar to the champion information page? The "Champions" page is essentially a list of champions that can be filtered by a property, champions' role in a teamfight. I propose a similar list be created that can be filtered by champions' progress in a rework. Essentially, instead of going to the champion information list and filtering by supports, assassins, or tanks, you can look at the rework list and filter champions by tags like "visual", "gameplay", "balance", or "complete rework".

Clicking on a champion, instead of bringing up more detailed information about that champion, would bring up a Twitter-like list of comments from developers relating to the rework. Instead of clicking on Miss Fortune and reading about her abilities, you could click on her and see the latest information from ricklessabandon. I think this might make the state of reworks less ambiguous because instead of getting vague comments we would have a concrete indication of the state of a rework.

I realize this might lead to some "false hope" in reworks that might not happen because of time constraints, but that's the beauty of it - tags could be implemented that give information on the progress of the rework. Tags like "tentative", "planning", and "balancing". Not every rework that is tagged "tentative" will reach "planning" and so on.

For example:

Gameplay, balancing.
Gameplay, planning.
Complete rework, tentative.
Visual, tentative.

You know, I don't think it would be a good idea for Riot themselves to spend resources on, but a dedicated discussion here or a third party site like S@20 could do this fairly easily. Kind of a one-stop shop for re-work news.

I agree a third party site could keep an updated list of champion reworks in progress, but only Riot has detailed information on the state of a rework. S@20 and Reign admins can read the dev tracker and make educated guesses on how much progress has been made on a particular rework, but in the end it's just educated guessing.

It does expend some web-design resources, but the fact that this community beta exists indicates that some web-design resources have already been allocated to making communication between developers and players easier. My opinion is that the ease with which developers could communicate the state of a rework using the page would be worth a few devs' time especially since most of the champion info page scripts should be reusable, but that's just my uninformed opinion.

I think getting all of the already posted information about a specific re-work into one place would be a great idea, not to mention useful for Rioters to keep track of what they said and a single place to post any publicly accessed ideas. I just, personally, feel it would better to be handled by someone else other than Riot. Not that it would be bad for Riot to do, just that Rioters can come and go as they please and not be expected to look at it or update it themselves. That's really the enemy here, expectation. I can't see the future, but I think if Riot officially did this, a lot of people would feel entitled to complain more about re-work speed and ideas than what's already being done in GD and other areas.

That's actually why I came up with the idea. I thought giving developers a way to post very short, non-committal updates on a rework and giving the *ahem* community some perspective of how much or how little developers are invested in a particular rework would reduce the amount of backlash when a rework announced yesterday isn't ready tomorrow.

Unfortunately if something is being maintained by Riot, then there will be an expectation for them to update, which might not happen due to other resource allocations (like S4 recently). Imho a 3rd party would mitigate that as they would be a collection of already posted news that has the very good option of Rioters posting there occasionally to clear things up, give exclusive info and what not on their free time. But the overall idea is the same and I think it's a good idea! I just differ with the execution solely from an opinion standpoint.
