Responsive layout

Will this website ever have it?

I mean seriously, with all the devices available to us today to view a website, having a responsive layout shouldn't even be a question.

It actually should be a question. If 85% of their forum traffic comes from non-mobile devices, there really isn't a reason to focus on mobile support. Now, I do think it would be beneficial for this to be responsive, but this is a beta and I think they should be focusing on other aspects first. I do think this main content column should be wider because I have 1/4 on the left and right of empty space @1920px resolution.

We are watching usage patterns very closely, and we definitely want to go responsive. What form that takes will depend on feedback and how we see the system used.
