Well everyone can select there favorite champion icon or item icon to use in a story. why cant we also select ability icons such as death sentance. that would be really cool to add in. just throwing some ideas. Thank you riot for all you do for your players.
Probably because there are a lot of abilities (5x the champs if you count passives, even more since some champs have more than 4 abilities) and a lot of people don't know all abilities. People wouldn't recognize the name of the icons and even if the name was shown, they often wouldn't know from which champ this ability is.
You can search the web for it and insert the image URL directly, depending on what you're trying to do, like Death Sentence http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130929123337/leagueoflegends/images/d/d5/Death_Sentence.png you just need to find one that's the right size lol. Terrible option though -_- not many options to edit a comment/thread the way these boards are.
