Riot activities on the European boards or the absence of such
Riot activities on the European boards seems to be close to nonexistence, with all the talk about changes coming to the boards, it for seems like a good time to look at what makes a board active. In the last 14 days there have been in total 11 riot replies on the English part of the euw board that were neither in help and support or announcement sup categories, most of those replies were in off topic or the announcement of the coming board changes. So summoned up, there have been no real red replies in discussion treads beside the board changes.
In my opinion what makes an official board work and differentiates it from reddit, is the accessibility to riot employees and if those don’t access and interact with the community on the official boards, then a lot of the appeal of these boards are dissipating, as it stand I would suggest removing the English parts of the euw and eune boards and merging them with the na board, with an introduction of two now sub forums, lfg euw and lfg eune. This way we would not split the English speaking community and some of the less popular sup forums might get some more activity.
I don’t expect we will see any more red activity on the European boards we have time after time been promised the world and nothing has happened, well except it has become worse after the introduction of boards instead of the traditional forum, but it seems like riot employees are finding it inconvenient to service more than one English community so this solution seems to be the best. 2 closed boards are better than two boards with no activity; I guess this is also why they are planning on merging sup forums in the coming changes.
- Btw just a fun fact the na board have had more red replies in the last 10 hours than the English part of euw have had in 2 weeks.
