When the gold’s nearly even at 34 minutes, and both teams are hovering around Baron, the perfect engage could mean game. But what about an equally flawless disengage?

As a team fight erupts, Neccra—a Gold IV Nami main—saves Zed from four seconds of lockdown by pausing the battle with a perfectly-positioned Tidal Wave. Kicking the fight into overdrive, the Tidecaller immediately lands a triple bubble counterengage that sets up her allies to slaughter the helpless enemy team.

This swing in momentum netted purple team four kills, an uncontested Baron, and secured the win.

I main support Nami though as a support I don't expect people to praise me. That's for the adc. But when everyone's raving about the adc at the end of the match and the adc gives me credit, that makes me feel all warm inside.

Amen, brother. That is exactly why anytime I get a chance to adc instead of supp (main Leona ), I always give credit where it's due.

I agree with you. People in lower divisions may not know or acknowledge it, but in upper divisions, everyone knows that the support makes or breaks the ADC. I main mid and even I know how much the support affects the ADC (and the team late game if it comes down to that).

I, in fact got my adc a penta, yet it was all the adc's work? People gave credit to the adc while yes, we were all trying to give Caitlyn the penta, but I was able to catch up faster, my teams adc was slower then the twitch we were up against. I think people just have to make sure they give credit to the ones who make the plays, not just follow up on it. One last thing, some people do give credit to the supports who make the game go in their favor, just not everyone notices it.

I've been there with the penta scenario, was playing as Leona and gave a Vladimir a penta. Zenith bladed into a group of four, called down the sun on them, then bashed the last one with a stun as Vlad cleaned up the first four then the last one. Everyone praised him and that was amazing, even the enemy team. Yet, not one word about the setup, yet I take away the knowledge that without the setup I did; that probably would not of worked out how it did. Guess we just have to find the joy in knowing we set up the plays.

for that very reason I have earned the name nickname "Penta-thief" because I give the adc the Quad but I will not give the Penta i take that last kill for myself just to remind them that "The Support Giveth and the Support Taketh away"

yeah often ppl in games will sight the "only good players" when their losing, the support that doesn't have any kills always gets left out :( Although I must say after watching jared (annie bot) stream I went annie support and finished a game today at 17-7 xD

Yea Annie support is great to play to support and still be able to carry a game, I also think Zyra support is very underplayed and is one of the best champions to play to carry games as support. I have played numerous games where I do the top damage to champions in the game as Zyra. The amount of cc and damage she brings by just building some magic pen is craziness, try it out.

OHH, I see it now. Zed went in. Vi ult'd Zed. Then Nami ult'd. Because she waited to throw her ult, it hit the enemy team while they were trying to follow up on Zed being stunned. Because they were stunned, they couldn't kill Zed while he was stunned. Then Zed slew everyone.

The fact that the entire team got hit by the wave was lucky (they would have had to go out-of-position to avoid it, which probably would have given Zed the advantage he needed anyway. As long as he survived, he could ult and kill somebody important). The fact that they were so bunched up was Baron-flavored icing on the cake.

This whole play makes me feel all giggly (As random as that sounds, it's just how I feel) I went from maining Lulu, to Nami and now I'm at a Leona stage, but watching this makes me want to play Nami again after about 2 weeks of straight Leona XD

I'm seeing all these posts about "Oh! Supports should be love more!" To quote Eddie Riggs, with a couple changes.

"A good support knows his whole job is to make someone else look good, keep someone else safe, help someone else do what they were put here to do. A good support stays out of the spotlight. If he's doing his job right, you don't even know he's there. Once in a while he might step on stage just to fix a problem, to set something right. But then before you even realize he was there or what he did, he's gone."

If you look at all there levels. The team that won that fight had higher levels(more fed) then the other team. so it would of been a game changer for the other team if they won it cause they were behind in levels, and probably gold.

Actually, we were behind in gold and towers, you can see in the video. And we had not won any team fights before this engage. This entire engage and then getting the baron buff was the game changer for our losing team. =)
