Being chat-blocked in champ select

Sometimes during champ select, I get chat blocked for about 10 seconds after typing a single message * /r/leagueoflegends

There's been quite a bit of discussion for this already but I haven't heard riot say anything about it so I wanted to bring it up again.

Could rito at least explain why it happens? According to what I've read someone who contacted rito said its's to stop spammers. And yet it's happened to me first thing when I join a lobby a few times now? I've also heard it blocked people who type fast? And if that's the case what kind of stupid system is that? Why punish people who want to get the lane they want? I know it's somewhat small issue but it's annoying none-the-less and seems to have no good explanation. So please Rito explain this to me.

They don't want people spamming ctrl+v in champ select to get the lane they want, and I'm prone to agree with them on it. A couple times at first is fine, but after that it's just spam.

Ctrl+v enter is the same amount of key presses for jg though, so should people be punished for that? Even then I've found I can call a lane faster than other people manage to copy paste. But more importantly, everyone can do it. So no one has an advantage in that regard. Your point is moot. Oh and you missed a good part of the original post

That meant it blocks me when I join the lobby, or when I've typed one thing. That's not spam.

This. The first time joining a lobby might be a bug, but this is the case that I've seen most often.
