Pre-game Griefing

Person A hovers Shaco.

Person B doesn't see, and accidentally bans Shaco.

Person A gets mad and goes Soraka jg to punish all of us.

--- The only solution here is self-sacrifice by dodging and eating the 5 min timer

There's got to be a better way

Picking an off meta champion is not griefing.

You so not have a crystal ball and you do not know why they picked that champion, and you know what they say about assuming...

sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet and play risk man.

assuming they do and troll the game, its report able, but 9 times out of 10 they'll end up dodging at the last second. people do these types of things to force out your dodges so that they don't have to, or already used theirs.

that or just take the L. happens to the best of us, just gotta move on.

League is full of douche bags, if you're not willing to take the dodge then be prepared for the worst.

Eat the timer. It's not a difficult concept, and dodging is actually an effective way to climb. There isn't a better way.

What do you suggest? Verifying reports for this sort of thing would require manual reviews… and even then it could be there's simply not enough information to base punishment on. So this would hardly make any difference. Free dodges would just massively increase the time until a game actually starts for everybody. Penalties for "forced" dodges at least only apply sometimes and to one out of ten players.
