Loving this non-tribunal system we got going

So I just got permanently banned, for a single game, I didn't feed on purpose, I didn't afk, all I did was critique our mid and get slightly upset that he took smite into mid lane. If I got autobanned because I had swear words in my chat, that doesn't really make sense as I didn't use them as verbs I used them as Adjectives, I.E. How the **** did that land?, I expressed after I got caught by a taunt after the fact. The fact that I got autobanned for a single game is just utterly ridiculous, especially considering that no tribunal looked at it, and the ban went off literally minutes after the game. This punishment system is ludicrous and unfair as it doesn't take into account any other factors that were happening in the game, nor anything else that anyone said. It just looks at if enough people reported you, (typically just consists of most of the enemy team), and then searches for trigger words despite how they are used or what their intent was.

looks like all the warnings / punishment you recieved previously means nothing to you.

"single game" its always fun how ppl like you expect riot to send you chatlogs of liek 20 games.

but to be honest after the 14 day ban it says "last warning" so its really a possibility that you got banned after "1 game" not counting the 50 other games that you flamed before even getting the 10 game chatrestrict.

Lol you so deserved a ban.

Good luck in the future and I hope you reform and quit typing nonsense and actually play the game.

You're hella toxic.

As Wuks would say, post the chat logs so we can have an open discussion about it. You could always open a support ticket to get some help.

The more I think about it, the more I'm starting to think Riot uses the same autoban system as games like Club Penguin, that when a report is received, it checks the chat logs to see if any trigger words or phrases were used, and if they're found regardless they give you punishment. It all makes sense now, why people who afk/feed/troll never get banned, but "toxic" people do.

Its funny when people say they'll go grab the tinfoil hats, when what I'm saying has been proven to be true, maybe not by riot, but lets look at other games, Micro transaction games, which LoL is one. Have been proven to be more expensive than say subscription based models, and they garner most of their income from the few addicted players, indeed many players do not spend any money at all, but those few addicted players do. And when you are addicted to a game you are more invested and more likely to have emotions run rampant, and thus be "toxic" according to you. Now if you ban these toxic players, a disproportionate punishment for the offense, some will quit, but others, more will more likely than not buy in again, and spend large amounts of money. Its the reason games like Runescape and WoW don't typically ban members, because they are subscription based (largely) and so they don't receive this increased money from addicted players spending on micro transactions again.

The warnings/punishments I had received happened months ago... from which point my behavior had improved quite substantially as can be seen by me not immediately getting banned as soon as I got off the ban. But taking essentially a few days short of the three month downgrade.

Can you show us your chat logs? If you log in to your account then you will be provided with an in client reform card that can show up to three games of chat logs which led up to your punishment. And you don't get banned for just literally one game unless you were unbeleivable toxic.

I'm also guessing you have had the previous punishments before correct? They are as follows:

  • 10 game chat restriction
  • 25 game chat restriction
  • 14 day ban

I seriously doubt that riot reviewed it directly as I had received the ban, a mere 2 minutes after the game had ended, that they reported me for. And when you look at the chat it doesn't show the difference between all chat and team chat, nor does it show what other players are saying. For instance, Azir was equally harassing me, and he was indeed feeding in the game, not just "feeding", and retorting to me and saying I was playing badly. Our mordekaiser did actually afk, and I don't see how calling for reports can be considered harassment since, that happens in I don't know 98% of the games I play, whether my team is doing well or not, because people love to blame other players. According to you, every time I see someone say report so and so, I should actually report the player who is asking for the reporting to happen because clearly they are in the wrong. I do not see how saying 2/6 Azir talks a big game is harasment, as its merely making a comment about how he was harassing my play, whilst playing poorly himself. And after that I merely recounted a tale of someone who invited me to a 1v1 and was beaten badly, then afk'd in the first 5 minutes.

Sure I had received other punishments, but those were about two months ago, and usually they send you messages saying what games you were reported for, I was reported for a single game. Game 1 Destromoth: camp top Destromoth: i'm getting rekt Destromoth: jungle tax Destromoth: sigh Destromoth: unleash the double feed Destromoth: and bot lane disappoints again Destromoth: i can't defend two lanes Destromoth: js Destromoth: coward Destromoth: hides at his turret all game Destromoth: fucking taunt Destromoth: can y'all seriously do something Destromoth: cuz right now you're all the epidomy of garbage Destromoth: lol they got butthurt Destromoth: report mid feeding Destromoth: too bad you fed instead of hitting your powerspikes Destromoth: and 0 kills Destromoth: and 60 less farm Destromoth: how in the fuck did that taunt land? Destromoth: report azir Destromoth: I just need to hit my powerspike thats why I took smite Destromoth: feeds lanemate 10 kills Destromoth: azir doesn't understand that he can't just let champs roam and do nothing in return Destromoth: defend at nexus turrets Destromoth: they'll come for me Destromoth: what the fuck are you doing cait? Destromoth: lol our mid is the same level as your support Destromoth: azir gets called out for playing badly Destromoth: and his feelings get hurt Destromoth: report mordekaiser afk Destromoth: Lol olaf and alistar upset because they got stomped by me Destromoth: 2/6 half my farm azir talks a big game Destromoth: probably like one of those kids that says 1v1 and they get killed 3 times in the first 7 minutes Destromoth: so they afk Destromoth: and you have the skill of a 4 year old Destromoth: nice bait cait

Mind you, I hadn't said anything until about 10-15 minute mark, or rather any toxic behavior until that point, and I type quite quickly, now I'd understand a ban if I had threatened people, or verbally harassed someone to an extreme extent, but the most toxic thing I can see in this post is "cuz right now you're all the epidomy of garbage", which is it negative sure, deserving of a ban, pretty questionable. TBH reports of negativity/passive aggresive behavior should almost always just receive chat restrictions as that fixes the problem, does it now? Where as reports of feeding/afk/intentionally helping the other team/using third party clients seems more along the lines of ban worthy. Though i'm sure 80% of the people who read this are going yeah you deserve it for being toxic in one game of the hundreds you've played over the past few months, but this ban system where every offense is treated the exact same as all the others, whats the point?

Destromoth4/23/2016, 2:01:55 AM1 votes

Like I said, 90% of people who read this go oh yeah I can see that is ban worthy, because you like to think you're better than other people and don't realize that by riot adding this autoban system that enforces punishment of any offense as the same, they make more money, because typically the people who are more "toxic" generally just in terms of chat and what not, are more invested in the game and have stronger feelings about it/more willing to spend money on it, so by banning that toxic chat instead of just giving chat restrictions, or maybe even something like a permanent chat restriction, they realize that they can make more money from players. Its a pretty simple system to see and probably one of the reasons the tribunal has been down for ages, because it wasn't as profitable for them.

If my behavior had been found punishment worthy in other games that I played, they would have sent chat logs for at least 3 games, that's what the system does. Regardless my behavior from over essentially over a eight months ago, should not be accounted in my punishment now, as I have played literally thousands of games since then.

Destromoth4/23/2016, 2:14:53 AM1 votes

A sense of personality in a multiplayer game doesn't add to the game? Why not just play a single player game if all you want is your teammates to ping when they're coming, and nothing else. Regardless a permanent chat restriction is probably a way better fix than a permanent account ban. The banning of the account only serves to make you start over and invest more time/money into the game.
