the new honor system is great, but kinda useless

lets be honest... ppl who troll on purpose dont give a single fuck if they get a keypiece or not. ppl also barely honor. since the majority of players is in bronze-silver i can easily say (i spent 1 season in there) that ~ 99% NEVER honor an enemy because "this guy sucks im way better he just was lucky" and that you also barely ever get honored from your own teammates.

im pretty sure the new system will be like the old one. 1-2 weeks it will RAIN honors for everyone but then noone will give a fuck and it will have no impact anymore.

i like that riot changed it and for me its actually a nice thing, but i dont think that it will change anything.

i myself used to have a ribbon and everytime i failed in a game no matter what i did wrong, it always was like "wow you dont deserve this ribbon you suck so hard" and i imagine that these borders you get, EVEN THO ITS ONLY FOR THE NEXT GAME, kinda add toxicity aswell. NEVER EVER did anyone say anything nice about me having a ribbon, it was either irrelevant or just added toxicity.

If the purpose of honor is to cut down the bad behavior, I don't see the new system as being more effective than the old.

I have to agree. I think time and resources would have been much better off going into improving the automated system they have in place.

the honor screen pops up in your face once the game ends now. So the chances of people not remembering to honor is low. They have to physically click on "No honor" or something like that.

Not to mention it creates a incentive, either shut up and play to earn the loot or learn to be a helpful twat by doing map awareness and warding and pings to such a great level they might as well of ordered you a pizza along with the thumbs up at being a good player.

Might end up creating a dodge war where if anyone is honor level 1 or below then players might end up wanting to dodge them instead of dealing with any toxicity they might have. Meanwhile shenigans might happen where people might expect a honor level 3~4'ster to be a godly player and instead that high honor player might end up just feeding the match and causing the ones who got their hopes up way too much to want to shoot themselves in the face for getting their hopes up.

Welp who knows how this train wreck will roll.~

They actually had to get to the point of punishment before. Now all they have to do is drop honor levels.

For me, the biggest disappointment with the new honor system is that levels appear to be a more sophisticated way to handle punishing players that would've been punished by denied keys in the old system. The honor levels don't actually appear to reflect being more honorable but instead reflect whether you've been punished recently. It's almost mind boggling that that's how RIOT is implementing "honor". Welcome to the new punishment system guys!
