Just had my account removed of a 14 day ban

So, I just got a 14 day ban, and I sent in a support ticket and they deemed it unworthy of the punishment. I'm actually estatic right now, and I would like to thank riot. But aside from that, I'm going to be making an active effort to be ONLY positive.

I guess what i'm trying to say is that:

  1. Sending a support ticket is WORTH it, if I didn't I wouldn't have gotten unbanned.
  2. Riot is pretty damn good at what they do.

Also here is what the email looked like if you guys want to see it: "Hey there,

I know this took a while for me to get back to you, but the team and I have discussed your suspension in great depth with one another. That said, I have some great news for you! We will be reducing the suspension, but I want to explain why we have done this for you.

I understand that it's hard to enjoy games when players are behaving poorly, but focusing on the negativity of others only clutters the chat, and prevents your team from seeing important information as well as forces them to deal with the cluttered chat. It is because of the persistence to focus on the negativity of others that the discipline was applied. I would recommend in the future asking once or twice but after that just report players like this at the and of the game. I have decided to reduce this suspension to a 10 game chat restriction. I believe that after this explanation you will be better prepared the keep the account under your control.

If you would like any further assistance or help, then please feel free to reach out to me. I want you to keep this account, just as much as you do :)."

Good at what they do? I have seen too much now to even get paid to say something that ridiculous. They couldn't care less in the majority of cases. They will also favor multiple people with hate speech offenses over someone who says one insult in response. There is also a giant Discord server dedicated to bait bans that show this.

It's OK to feel good about getting your punishment toned down, but don't start saying things that are blatantly untrue.

Thanks for sharing this with us. I haven't heard of Riot reducing a 14-day suspension, but this is good information to know. Players usually make posts regarding an "unfair" permanent ban that usually just leads to Riot having to explain why they escalated the punishment to a permanent ban, and why the ban is going to stick. Good luck, and make sure Riot's mercy doesn't go to waste!

I wish this happened to me.. I genuinely believe I did not deserve to get banned, but I do believe I deserved a chat restriction. I've become better at not being as toxic, but I have yet to throw game now since my suspension. But I got into an argument with two VERY toxic players and I was perma banned for it. I still believe I don't deserve a perma banned, but it's whatever at this point. Not blaming Riot for it since I am obviously not a player of worth, but I have truly improved and still am. Just really sucks to actually get the ban hammer when I finally felt like I was getting better and not when I was actually toxic.

Edit- I put in a ticket in hopes I could prove my worth, but I could not. Also, the employee that handled the ticket and the situation explained professionally and clearly as to why the employee chose to not relieve the ban. Although I disagree with it, obviously, I did respect the decision and the way the employee handled it. I still respect Riot for they have not wronged me in anyway, but just wanted to explain my situation. I just feel overwhelmed so I might not be thinking this clearly, maybe someone can help clear my head up about this.

This is pretty rare. The only instance of this I've ever see is where some person muted everyone and was yelling at themselves and got banned for it. That was back when RiotLyte was in charge though. He was horrible at his job and just dipped once he ruined everything.

Grats although I usually just type /mute all, and report who I feel is abusive or idiots, no point in arguing with an idiot I say...

Had a user spamming "ALL mid like 5+ times" in chat when that should have been done earlier if they were gonna do it because of their actions I just muted everyone and pings.

^ Being annoying really does affect games not just for one user.
