RIOT; Why is the lower elo brackets less strict about behavioral issues than the professionals?

RIOT; why are the lower elos having such behavioral problems? Why cant the lower elos be held to the same strict standard as the professionals?? I've been climbing out of bronze, and when i hit b3-b2 i experienced an insane amount of mad players. I've had multiple games where my team was doing really good like up 15+ kills and turret leads, and one of the team members tilts off into oblivion for what seems like no reason. there are so many angry players i don't know how to win a game through all the throwing and negative behavior. I've had multiple games where one person is telling other people how bad they suck before minions spawn. I think riot needs to step in and do something about the negative behavior.

It's the other way around. Riot is less strict in the upper elos.

Very much agreed. I just played support in a ranked game as Soraka against an Ezreal (geo69) who was absolutely and completely toxic, even while winning the game. Cursed at people in all chat and acted like absolutely nothing will ever happen to him. I did report him, but it always feels so fruitless to be a kind player, support main, trying everything I can to help my team win, just to run in to people like that on both sides. They completely ruin the game...and it really does feel like Riot does absolutely nothing to stop them, even when they're reported.item 3070

It's a lot easier to punish someone that is well known and streams their games to thousands of people than 1 unknown person that needs to be flagged by an imperfect system

Punish 80% of the community... great business model

nobody reports or everybody reports to much if you're reporting every game againist everyone your report matters less than someone who reports once every 20 games

When you want to create a good community you start with the people you look up to.

The behaviour issues are appearing because you have a lot of players right now who are at tiers, which - well - they don't think they deserve to be in. It's not just the lower tiers - but it's also happening with some of the higher-tier players I've been running across too. It's as if they have to remind themselves that they are that one tier higher by putting down lower tiered players. (The curse of the Season 7 reboot in ranked.) Heck, consider the Nb3-QT fiasco.

I fear that the toxicity will continue for a while to come... [zombie-nunu-bummed]
