I have been playing league since season 3. I can say with out a question, 2020 season is the most toxic it has ever been. It saddens me to say IM GETTING USED TO TEAM MEMBERS AFKING. I actually think i'm having a really good game if i don't have more than two team members inting. I have recently had a game where a team member called multiple people the "n" word and then afked, its been over a week with no ban notification..... I am really ashamed as a member of this community that is growing ever so toxic. not only are people hard inting and cussing out their teammates only because they didnt pick a tank or an all ad team ruining the ranked experience but it further subjectifying ranked as a "joke". If Riot Games Dosn't care about the growing toxicity problem, then how can they say they care about player experience? I know Personally i have a minimum of 3 afks a day, this dosn't count the games where i have teammates running it up mid. My Question is what is Riot Going to do to fix the negativity issues? Is the cost of satisfying the angry really making you more money than the new people it drives away?

That is a shocking number of bad luck you are having. Just out of curiosity, can you post 9 match histories spanning 3 consecutive days where you have an afk in each of them? You said minimum so it shouldn't be that hard to dig out right? How many games you play per day?

If i knew a way to prove it i gladly would i went through op.gg and my match history list and neither have a way of showing an afk. and most of my games have 3 or more level difference. making it hard to determine who it was. and i push most of them out of my mind after the report so they dont affect my solo queue grind.

But...but...you quoted numbers. Surely if this has had such an impact, you would at least remember today's games or yesterday's games and "oh yeah, that lux, that lucian, and that ornn went AFK."

havnt had my second afk today yet but malzaha was my first afk today and i dont remember because if i remembered who it was i would be too tilted to play so ive learned not to care about about all the negative stuff but this is affecting my win rates big time. i could come up with a detailed list of all the afkers and inters if it will make you all happy but thats hardly the point i cant be the only one suffering in solo queue due to super hard flaming every game

If you have a movie-making program, you can download and highlight the AFKs and upload them to youtube for Mr. "Evidence or GTFO."

FTR, I don't doubt you. It seems like the assholery has simply gotten worse from my perspective, and I'm a Season 4 vet.

People are toxic because this game is fuckin frustrating. 90% of games are decided in the first 10 minutes. That shit is seriously not fun. So when we have some asshole going 0-4 in the first 7 minutes, of course people are going to be pissed. That feeder just decided the game before it even really started.

but there no decided in the first 10 min unless your like challenger but even then a miss step can give someone a quadra flipping the game. or better rotations or smarter farming. certian champs dont even get dmg till mid game and hard carry with any help its not that simple.

They cant do anything. Its a societal/anonymity issue. Maybe if your logs were sent in emails to every family member and automatically posted on all your social media accounts, but of course that is unrealistic. Nothing will stop people from doing these things unless it is extreme. I would say something about parents needing to be the ones to monitor their kids behavior, but obviously adults do it too.

its really not that difficult though. when i started league was way harsher, i didnt play ranked till season 4 or 5 i played almost a year and a half before i tried ranked. and i remember i had the crappiest internet i would dc probably once a game and if it took longer than a min or two for my internet to kick in i would get a 30 min afk timer. i personally dont believe they stopped being harsh just that the player base got so big they couldnt police it but they have the resources to fix that. they have the resources to hire someone to develop such a detection or hire a third party the fact they just ignore the problem is the problem. its one thing to flame your teammates but to afk or sit in the nexus all chating you teams whereabouts. its all ridiculous and having people dropping the n word because they do it every game because riot dosnt care is a bit ridiculous.
