Wrongfully banned for intentional feeding

League of Legends Match History

Not sure how to share the replay, but I was given a 14 day for intentional feeding. The player support person claimed to have watched the game in question, but I suspect they just looked at the KDA and didn't watch the game. If anyone watched the game they would determine that I was not intentionally feeding this game. I don't think I even had a single death that would be considered intentional feeding, and most of my deaths were par for the course at my skill level of silver. It wasn't like I ran under the turret or I kept trying to kill the same person in a hopeless effort. Is anyone able to watch the replay and explain what I am missing? I don't want to get banned again, but I cannot figure out which deaths are "intentional feeding" when I was just trying to farm and not die. My report card for the ban only referenced this game and I cannot see what they are referring to as intentionally feeding. I tried really hard and I feel like I was punished for not leaving the game. Had I left the game I would have just gotten 20 minute queue timers instead of a 14 day ban for trying my best. I led my team in farm and many of my deaths were me barely not getting away due to the opponent's flash or ignite.

Bans like this make me feel like I need to leave the game if I fall behind otherwise I am at risk of a 14 day ban (or perhaps a permanent ban). Had I just quit at 0/3, I wouldn't have been banned at all :(

This isn't the first time this happened. A couple years ago I was banned for having a bad game as Riven top (never laned vs. Tristana before and it got ugly). They ended up removing the ban, and since then I only play Twisted Fate as I am afraid if I play anything other than my best champion otherwise I'll get banned for intentional feeding. It seems even with my best champ it doesn't make a difference as I get punished for having a bad game.

If anyone does watch the replay and thinks it is intentional feeding, please tell me which deaths in particular so I can review the replay and avoid dying in that manner in future games.

I just watched a fast-forward of each of your deaths that game.

While there's some ambiguity in your feeding, since you do nominally contribute to your team's efforts to win, I still suspect that you were intentionally throwing the game. Here's why:

You placed literally zero wards. Most of your deaths involve mindlessly pushing into turrets and getting flanked.

Every ult you cast was directly into a melee situation against melee champs, resulting in your swift deletion. This strategy may have been viable if you had prepared a stopwatch or zhonya's, but you made no effort to purchase that item.

At one point, you literally are auto-attacking a turret while Urgot teleports right next to you. He immediately flips you and murders you. You made no effort to move until the teleport was completed.

Finally, you somehow completed a game with an unused minion dematerializer.

I'm uncertain about the situation. On the one hand, most of the details that I can see (statistics, item build, etc.) suggest no real foul play, but on the other, your lack of damage, unparalleled damage taken, and the sheer regularity of your deaths scream as indicative of no self-preservation.

I can understand the first death being an invade gone wrong (enemy Ashe seized first blood), but following that, you died four more times over the next four minutes, and further throughout the match had consistent strings pretty much every other minute.

The biggest factor that rings strange to me about the situation is that the majority of your deaths happened in your own territory, not the enemy's.

There's not really enough information to draw any reliable conclusions from peer review, so, all I can say is that, if you truly did try your damnedest, you should try the Support Ticket again and ask for a manual review.

Otherwise, there's nothing we can really do save trust that Riot's system didn't punish you in error.

While it looks really suspect because it's that bad of a score, I tend to err on the safe side and simply say that you should submit a Support Ticket so that Player Support can take a closer look [than we can] and help you out if they find the ban was mistaken.

Can you prove that he was intentionally doing it and it wasn't just bad play?

If you can't prove that he was doing it intentionally then how can you ban him for intentionally feeding?

Looking at your history, I see intermittent 'bad' games strewn throughout, along with games where you played okay (and even quite well!). Your scores in the bad games are similar to the one you linked above (around 14 to 15 deaths, fewer assist, etc.) I had to scroll down around a hundred games to find a game where you played someone other than TF, so obviously he's your main right now. In other words, I don't think this is out of the ordinary for you.

Your history shows a 'pattern' if you will, of games/scores that are all over the place.

That's probably normal for your skill level. I know it is for mine.

**Aggravating factors: ** zero assists, low damage to champions, high death count

Mitigating factors: You had the 3rd most damage to objectives (even more than your ADC), tied for highest farm, did most damage overall on your team.

Neutral factors: low gold income (your jungler was low too), two dorans rings? Is that still a thing? you don't ward. at all.

In my opinion (my opinion and about $5.00 will get you a coffee at starbucks) there is NOT a preponderance of evidence indicating that you intentionally fed.

I'd send in a support ticket. Worst they can tell you is, "Sorry, you fed so the ban stands". Then you're no worse off than you are now.

Thoughts:

Objectives, farming, and overall damage is important - but so are things like warding, kill participation, getting damage or cc on enemies, map awareness, paying attention to pings, etc...

Looking at your match I think maybe you were just focused on the wrong things at the wrong times. I don't personally think you intentionally fed. My guess is that maybe you just didn't have your head in the game as much as you should have (or at all). I've been guilty of that at times. Talking to the wife, thinking about finances, or lord knows what else. Happens in live sports as well as e-sports too, obviously.

Play safe, do you best, try to stay focused, try to help the team, and realize you can't win 'em all.

And ward. Wards save lives.

Just my opinion as a casual player who plays ranked once in a while. YMMV

Well, you can always save a "movie" of the replay and push it to YT (or any other site), and share the link, so we can see it. Anyway, submitting a support ticket is your only way to go :\

But 16 deaths in 22 min? It's almost impossible to pull off. You placed exactly 0 wards. And you still have the dematerializer, did you even use it?

So no matter what you say, it really feels like you inted. If you post the replay, we may be able to say more. But i doubt your ban will be revoked. (And i think you deserve this punishment.)

I know what intentional means, I know they dont ban players for just playing bad. But if you play a game half asleep, doing braindead shit as if you dont even have a team to work with, you should be banned. Bad mechanics is one thing. If you just suck at manipulating your buttons in a precise and quick manner, thats fine... youre just a low ELO player like me. But if you go into a game and play like you did... just not paying attention, going by yourself doing dangerous shit that will probably result in death with no progress made towards winning, OVER AND OVER, you should get banned. Wake the fuck up man. Pay attention.

But as for this specific case, going by the rules, I dont think intent can be established. Its just god awful, braindead playing. And I would hate you for it lol like wake up dude wtf. Youre just being lazy in a ranked match.

I do understand being distracted. just the other day my friend was being distracted by his daughter and was doing the dumbest shit tilting the hell out of me lol. So he logged off after that. It was just a normy, so I would say play unranked if you have distractions around, but you probably didnt exactly predict a mental breakdown lol.

Below are the three responses I got from support. The worst part is where they say this could result in a permanent ban if it happens one more time even though this was an accident. Between that and the fact that new ranked starts and I can't play with my bf, this has been an awful experience. It is like they are punishing me for not playing with my bf who camps my lane when I start to fall behind.

Me

I would like a human to review my game. Players persuade their teammates to report for intentional feeding all of the time despite it not being intentional, and it happens to me especially often as I do not chat in-game (in game chat often leads to anger and distraction from playing well). Twisted Fate is a no mobility champion who is susceptible to repeated ganks by fed high-mobility champions. I am managed to still get decent farm despite the endless ganks and was hoping we could turn it around once it got to team fighting, but sometimes games just don't work out.

Support

Thanks for writing in. Now, I may not have the best news for you in this situation, but hopefully I'll be able to provide some context on why you were escalated to a suspension. I went ahead and looked into your account, and watched the game associated with your penalty. Our evidence shows that you were intentionally feeding, the penalty for doing so is a 2 week suspension. Feeding purposefully ruins the game for other players and we don’t tolerate anyone doing this in game. Since this is the case I won’t be able to remove or reduce the suspension. PLease be aware that this is a final warning before a permanent ban, even one more game of feeding can subject you to the ban. So make sure to focus on your own game play and try your best! Again, I’m sorry I dont have the best news here. If you have any other questions or if anything else was confusing about the penalty, feel free to let me know so we can discuss it further.

Me

I would like to know what evidence you speak of? The only death that was particularly bad was the one to Urgot in top lane, and in that one I had a roommate who was distracting me and I didn't notice the TP until it was too late. Otherwise the rest of my deaths were due to the extreme mobility of the opposing team and the lack of a strong jungler on my own team to assist, and of course my limited skill as a low level ranked player.

Support

When watching the game I did see that you would tower dive the enemy, lower HP and level than them, and you would avoid team fights, as well as ult into the enemy team 3v1 a few times. We do consider this assisting the enemy team so the suspension will have to remain. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns though.

Me

I did not tower dive a single time in the game. I died near their turret twice. Once I was doing damage and Kha'zix came up to me invisible, which I can't do anything about. The other one was an Urgot teleport and I didn't notice he was tele'ing in (roommate was having a mental breakdown while I was playing). I attempted to ult bot lane for a gank, but I locked the wrong card. I avoided team fights because I was trying to get the lanes pushed in our favor and I typically just ult to my teammates when the fight starts. I want someone else to review my replay who doesn't have such strict standards. If what you say is assisting the enemy team, we may as well ban all of bronze rank and half of silver as those things happen all the time. Both of my kills were "ults into the enemy team" so as far as I can tell, they were effective. One of the them the turret died right as I got there so I got hung out to dry, and the other one was bot lane but I locked the wrong card :(

Support

I do see that you run repeatedly into the enemy team while under leveled, no matter who they are or what level they are. I also see that you ult behind the enemy team where your team can not assist you a few times, out numbered and underleveled again. I know you play a lot of TF and we do expect players to try their best in every game. We all follow the same standards for this as well and the replay was watched by more agents as well to come to this conclusion. We dont feel that you were intentionally trying to win this game, so the suspension has to stay. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns though.

2/16/0 Twisted Fate in a ranked match. Intent should not matter at that point.

you know its fine im not having fun playing with ppl who only care about results im done with this game it just disgust me that winning is all that ppl care about and playing the game doesnt seem to matter even the riot so im out account deletion request and in process. I just gonna go live a happy life doing something else cuz this is gaming company just promotes performance even though its all relative anyways. Im done with all the toxic drama and competitive bs. Theres way more to life than all this drama and judging. Peace out forever.

you dont get flagged for intentionally feeding unless they notice a pattern with you doing it. they don't pick one bad game and decide to ban you for it.
