This is why Riot will NEVER improve or fix the toxicity problem.
Just got this reply in a PM from a schoolteacher (names withheld).
I'm an educator. It's my Job to work with children and teenagers and i see this problem every single day. Society dictates how you have to behave. You get a role to fill. In league this role doesn't exist anymore. There is no punishment, no police, no risk of getting exiled. The only law in league? (No not riot) Your own values and norms. Freud is a good theory for this: Id, ego, and super-ego. check it out if you dont know it.
As I said, it's my job being a role model, helping confused teenagers to find their way, teaching values and having a strong identity, being authentic. I was on a league team and the people loved me cause i never got angry, was understanding and funny. Relaxed. It's about fun and improvement. That never works under pressure.
Solo Q turns me into an angry Ape, I admit i have some Issues in IRL who doesn't? Im working on them every day. When i play league i devolve into the 16 year old autism Kid i was a long time ago (im 25 now) I'm tilted the moment i get into the game cause i cant turn it off anymore. I simply cant join a game without falling back into that pattern of behaviour cause it's the entire environment. It is not possible to "simply stop" Those tips "how to stop being tilted" may work for some who are superficial affected but a lot of year long players are seriously tainted by it. It's like being with a good friend who isnt good for you. you automatically behave like a dick even tho you are the nicest guy if hes not around but its not possible to stop even tho you know it. all you can do is not see him again.
I'm thinking about finding a new team or at least a constant duo Q partner. I love the game but i need to change the environment. Otherwise I'll quit for good
What were you expecting when Riot hires computer engineers to deal with human psychology, anyway?
