Ban The Bots!

For days now I can't get a decent 3/5vsAI match without having 1-3 bots in the game ruining it. It's not like they are hard to find, they all have M2 in their name, they are obviously NOT afraid of getting caught and not even TRYING to hide. I have reported EVERY one of them and they keep coming back.

BUT if I see the match form with them and I try to leave I GET PUNISHED FOR LEAVING! This is BS, I have paid for RP and would like to play the GD game! Can the devs maybe DO SOMETHING!?!?

edit: Perfect example, I just finished a game with a bot, I got a phone call and ended up timing out in "leavebuster", I have not AFK'd in MONTHS, besides cancelling out of a bot match during character select last week where I got a 5 min wait penalty. Once I get back to the result screen I am told I now have to wait 20 MINUTES for 5 games before I can play normally. If Riot was as diligent and zealous about BOTS as they are about disconnects, it would be GREAT. If I hadn't JUST paid another $20 for RP I would "rage quit" this game altogether and go back to Storm of Heroes where the bots don't ruin all my games.

I ran into 2 of them in my pvp Aram game. It was kinda funny to watch. They were just inting. They didn't use abilitys either

Riot has been committed to bolstering their bot detection for well over a year now (at least). These anti-bot systems include bot prevention as well as bot detection. Bot prevention prevents their programs from interacting with the game, while bot detection will flag botted accounts and terminate them as part of a wave.

We're focused on detecting and banning botted accounts before they can be sold. This doesn't mean that buying a botted account makes you innocent (our Terms of Use prohibit the buying and selling of accounts). That being said, let me answer your question directly: yes, accounts that were botted and sold are in-scope for these ban waves.

We wish we could provide more context, but we won't be answering questions about how we detect bots to avoid being reverse engineered. Just know that we're committed to keeping these bots down. We'll continue to improve detection as bots try to get around it, and we're working toward other solutions that will decrease motivations for botting.

It has been an issue for ages and Riot doesn't care. Well, they probably care but don't care to waste resources banning a bot just for the bot to make a new 10 or so accounts. I would think banning the ip but w/ ip spoofers etc, that would be useless as well. Bots are the bane of free to play games.. Once you hit 30, you will see much less of them :( Until then, play a champ you can carry with. My pre 30 bot games, I would play a champ I knew I could get fed and carry w/ 2-3 other feeders. Definitely take most of the fun out of bot games though. I feel your pain...

Do not use that as a convincing factor when asking the dev's to do something. You should realize by now that to the dev's the community are all equal, whether you paid for RP or not. League is about fairness, you won't gain favoritism just because you've bought RP.

Now, it sounds to me like this was one long rage post, and you were angry, try to compose a better complaint.

I still think all they need to do is add a Captcha test to fix the problem.They said they didn't want to and adding a Captcha to the game would be tedious too for players, but they have this one now that's only a button press:

Would it really be that bad to add ONE extra thing you need to click before a match? It doesn't even have to be put in Norms and Ranked, just the modes that suffer from bot issues. If the bots move to those modes then A), I guess they will get a taste of what the rest of us been dealing with, and B), they could just add it to those modes after they start popping up.

If there's that many bots, it doesn't mean that there are no bans for bots.

What it means is that Riot bans them too slowly to stop them from reaching level 30.

As such, at 30, they can sell the account, so it's just profitable to bot. If they banned every account pre 30, then it'd be a waste of resources, with 0 profits from selling level 30 accounts. They just need the ban-wave sweet spot of "slightly less time than it takes a bot to hit level 30".

Until then, you'll just see tons of bots. It makes money, and costs nothing but a computer running a script. Why WOULDN'T they bot, no matter how many get banned?
