Hate speech in league

I'm tired.

I've been active in gaming and league since 2009 and I'm frankly exhausted. It is impossible for anyone who isn't a white straight dude to exist without being hated on for it. I think every 4th or so game I get someone dropping nr or ft, and I always report it but nothing happens. It's just so frustrating to see Riot choosing the side of hate speech over decency.

I get that people suck and that league is just fucking toxic, but when someone calls me a f****t, and continues to attack me for a whole game, then gets the OTHER team to attack me when I ask them to report, it's too much. Hate speech should frankly be a non starter for this game, and it's insulting that since League instituted the "zero tolerance" policy I've reported in over a dozen times with no feedback. Riot should be ashamed.

The feedback system is lackluster. It often only gives the little message if your report was specifically the one that sent their account to chopping block. If someone else reported them that game, or if they were not quite there yet and reached it the next game, you're likely to get no notification.

You only get the notification if your report triggered the review that got the person banned.

I've gotten the notice quite a few times, so I know it works.

You don't have to ask for reports. One is exactly as effective as 9. Hate speech is a 14 day ban for the first offense, perm on the second.

/Edit: Man, I do not sound helpful at all. Let's try again.

Keep up the fight. Mute and report every time. If we keep it up, things will get better. If you read the boards you see that people do get banned for this shit. Don't get discouraged.

the problem here is with the support system. the more you report, the less your report is counted for.

unfortunately, this is somewhere where you have to choose your battle very very wisely.

i know the feel, and i know it's not fun. but until they rework the reports and honour system to be more integral to gameplay, there isn't much other choice.

Hate speech is already zero tolerance. Glance around this forum a bit; you'll see plenty of people whining about getting rapidly banned due to it.

I respect that it makes you feel uncomfortable, but your needs are very much addressed already. Report feedback is only given to the final person to submit a report, so in the cases of overt racism and homophobia, you were likely only one of many people sending reports.
