Let's ban negative words

The current tribunal looks for a set of words defined by Riot after you have been reported by a player. This player could have thought you were out of line. This player could be acting out of spite because they lost a video game, the automatic tribunal is not able to determine this. This set of words has never been brought to your attention but you will be punished if you use one of the words and are reported by either of the aforementioned players or any player in between that spectrum.

If this automated system finds a word that you've used along with a report from another player it will eventually punish you.

This system is assuming that you will never run into a player who is spiteful. It is assuming that every time you are insulted by a player under ANY circumstances and use a word on their list that you are a negative toxic player, because you can be about %70-%90 sure (based on my personal experiences) that if somebody insults you, they are going to report you bump that up to %100 if you respond to them with a single word.

Instead how about we have a chat filter that is automatically on at all times. This filter will restrict this list of bad words and punish anybody that uses them, and we can just add to the list of words as a community. We can add words like 'stupid', 'bad', 'uninstall', 'suck', 'vaginal discharge' and anything else that anybody in the entire world could potentially find offensive. Nobody will ever say anything bad in league again and we can all live happily ever after.

P.S. GG Riot for employing the person that designed this system and then actually implementing it.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of an automated system. I saw a Riot employee say that the automated system doesn't hand out permanent bans and that a human has to review and approve the ban first. I seriously hope that is the case.

But if you know the "buzz words," don't use them. Is it really so difficult for people to know what is and is not acceptable? Sure, you can mouth off all you want amongst your buddies. But those same circumstances don't usually work too well outside your personal circle. We ALL know this even if we don't all agree on it.

This isn't calculus. This is common sense.

You know what? This is wrong. I cuss regularly in game. I have never been banned.

You know why I don't get banned? Because I don't do it maliciously or constantly. I don't attack players all game.

I might say "What the Fuck do you think you are doing? Get the fuck back to lane!". But I say it once, then I let the situation go. I don't cuss out a player constantly. I don't attack them over and over for the same mistake. I try to encourage them when they are successful later.

If you think you are getting banned for a couple of bad words being used, you are wrong. You only get banned for consistently toxic behavior or going over board in a significant way like attacking someones sexual orientation and skin color in major ways.

Edit from a response below: You have the "Right as a human being" to say whatever you want.

THAT RIGHT DOES NOT PROTECT YOU FROM THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR WORDS OR ACTIONS. That isn't how rights work.

Tip for not getting banned: Don't Be A Dick.

The Riot rep said it. If I could find it, I'd link it. But until someone at Riot flat out lies and proves they are not trustworthy, I'm going to take them at their word.
