They're just words, Riot. Why do you allow some and not others? I get it, okay... Your demographic generally hates some words more than others. So just filter those words from your chat forever and always because guess what? Some people grew up on those words. It's a competitive game and name-calling is a healthy way for a player to vent. If I use a six letter word for homosexual just to trigger my opponent, that's called strategy, not homosexual slur. We pay good money on skins and you're just gonna ban every tom dick and harry who get heated. #dumb

Calling your opponents names was prohibited since competitive gaming started, not to mention that you cannot say that your opponent is trash in 99% of real world sports disciplines.

It's actually still a homophobic slur. You're just claiming your use of it is strategic. Whether that is true or not, the behavior is simply not allowed as per the rules of the game.

Are you really using it to try to trigger your opponent or are you really just using that as an excuse to behave that way and use that word? I'm guessing the latter as if you really want to try to tilt your opponent there are a number of more tasteful and mature ways to go about doing it than using slurs and the like. Like you said it's just words so you should be able to use a number of other more appropriate words than slurs and the like if that's the case.

As for filtering them that's not a perfect solution as people can just easily bypass them if they wanted to, which in an RTS like LoL would be wasting time better spent on playing the game itself. Finally money =/= immunity to the rules, so if you truly value your account you should really think about that before you reach the point of a permaban status.

This is pretty much a zero-debate topic. You're not allowed to use any form of derogatory words or meanings. End of story. Filtering those words specifically is pretty pointless since it would be trivial to bypass said filter were you intent on making the word visible, which it sounds like you are.
