try and surrender a lost match (and it was btw) after match is over the verbal abuse galore starts.

as often as i have to report people for verbal abuse i bet they ignore em by now as they think its false reports.
mute them in game and report them and don't bother looking at the after game lobby i guess? generally people remember the bad things more then the good things. so you can have 1 game with a toxic player like 7 toxic free ones and then 8th is another toxic guy and you are like WOW ANOTHER TOXIC GUY I HAD ONE LAST GAME!? Honestly they do ban players or give chat restrictions for verbal so, don't worry they will either reform or be forced to make a new account once they are perma banned
This may sound cliche but I honestly feel that a match is not lost until the nexus is destroyed. Come backs do happen and people do stupid things. As long as people are not trolling you do have a fair shot at winning. If people are shit talking but playing the game at least, mute them and press on. Also after the match is over, just report them and leave.
Copy paste what they say post-game and report. No point in flaming them back (not saying you do), but just saying.
