Punishment for Being Honorable?

I received an Honor Capsule the other day when I logged on, which contained two key fragments and a permanent unlock of Warwick, plus the Grey Warwick skin, neither of which I had any choice about unlocking. Yay, right? No.

I do not want Warwick. I will never play Warwick. This is essentially just a punishment for me, because now I have the chance of ending up being stuck playing him if I play any ARAM games. If it were champion and skin shards, at least I could have disenchanted them into essence.

Not everyone feels the need to unlock every character in the game. Why not at least offer players a choice of NOT accepting this kind of "reward"?

It's not a punishment, that's a ridiculous overreaction to getting free loot. However, you can request content like skins, champs, or rank borders be removed from your account by requesting it through a Support Ticket.

It's something that makes the game less enjoyable to play for me, so rather than a reward, which was the intent of the capsule, it does seem more like a punishment.

Player Support has already resolved it for me, but they suggested I also post it here so that the Devs could see the feedback, hence the post. It seems like it would certainly be less of a headache for them if there was an option for players to decline the rewards, rather than having to go through and remove them on a case by case basis.

I'm going to be honest with you; Riot is not going to go out of their way to develop a feature to block getting free content for a handful of players. It's just not worth their time. The amount of people that actually want to refuse free loot is extremely insignificant, and simply helping them in a ticket on a case-by-case basis is way better, especially since there's no chance that a player accidentally submits a ticket to deny the loot.

Didn't Keyru say that she was going to figure out a way to give us different colors for the honor-ward skins?

If I had the purple or blue one, I'd be using it. The orange one is just going to sit at my inventory.
