let's remove toxic behavior

Melodee·5/4/2019, 3:33:58 PM·1 votes·1,635 views

hey so, a moderator accidentally deleted this post, so i am reposting it. no problem, accidents can happen.

i don't even play ranked, but i am already expecting people flaming when i enter a game. it's really unhealthy because:

it's literally toxic behavior. you aren't giving someone constructive critisism, no, instead you are telling YOUR TEAM MATES that they should either kill themselves or uninstall the game when they die twice. what happens next? what do you think? someone will play better? no, the person gets nervous, unhappy, angry and they will either purposely feed or still try to do better and failing because of what they are feeling. that's why i don't blame ANYONE for purposely feeding when this happens. it's not toxic because, it's a response to what a lot of you have caused.

so please listen to me and try to fix this issue.

RESPONSE TO THE LAST COMMENT: it's pretty much pointless because no one listens but what is the point of deleting it tho?

You can't it's a variable of human interaction to have arguments, that number inflates greatly when in competition. So when you're with strangers who you think are costing you a resource (LP) because of their (perceived) incompetence then you're more likely to feel aggrivated. BUT that doesn't mean you have to force out those emotions, but noone talks about what to do when you've already become tilted.

What i'm saying is that league of legends actually encourages tilt as a game. As riot doesn't want a toxic atmosphere, they're trying to do a 3 strike system on the action of shit like complaining, instead of only targeting actively toxic behavior. That's why we haven't seen a cleanup. In addition i think the avenue they've chosen is purely ideological, in that they want to try to reform people into a standard that seems really feasible on paper, but since teenagers-25 year olds are the primary audience... It's actually not feasible. Hormones make everything worse. if you're a teenage boy with a minor temper problem then in this environment you're basically a ragisaurus rex.

in addition to all of that some people actually just want to do some chill flames, just ball busting and whatnot. This is why I think honor should dictate matchmaking and that we should implement a troll island.

How do you accidentally delete a post? I assume it takes more than a couple of clicks. What was the reason given for the removal?

If a mod deleted your post, then they had a good reason for it. There's no such thing as "accidental post deletion"

Do you have a suggestion? Or do you want Riot to do a couple of Thanos snaps to reduce toxicity?

it isn't pointless, clearly the mod deleted the post for a reason

while we do not know the reason in question, making another post about the exact same issue is just as likely to get deleted

the issue is Riot is trying, but there is only so much they can do in a time period, that is why they have the 4 stage system they do now
