Question about trolls

So I just had a ranked game where the support had aatroxAatrox indicated in champ select so the adc banned it, then indicated asolAurelionSol , which i banned after, then ended up locking in akali and said fuck you in chat. I agree to the idea of being able to try new things, but no utility, no healing and no cc why would that not be a troll pick as akaliAkali . As expected she inted and we lost the game then blamed the entire team for the loss, said jg no ganks, top no tank and adc sucks. I reported but nothing came back saying a punishment was issued.

Another game, ranked again, corki Corki goes mid and just downright ints. No toxicity, just ints to the yasuo and we lose. After the game I look him up and he basically plays a new champ almost every ranked game, about which I ask him and the response I get is 'just trying new champs :)'. I swear to god if I was in front of that kid I would have jabbed him.

Lastly, a while ago I got an aniviaAnivia support that didnt say anything in game and didnt int but basically trolled all game. She stayed top for the most part and just stole cs, and spammed her wall. She stopped my movements and cancelled my backs using her wall. Spamming emoted while doing it all. I waited for a week to see if she got punished, after probably getting reported from everyone on my team but I got nothing.

What am I supposed to do in these situations. Ive been chat restricted once, but for the life of me its hard to not tell a person like that what is wrong with them. Like a troll gets away with what they want, ie to troll others but I cant even get lp back or the time back or the promise that it wont happen again. AND i cant even say anything to that person.

(Im in gold 4 btw)

WHAT DO I DO?

TL'DR, people that troll without being toxic or inting are in my games and I dont know what to do about it.

I practice champion in ranked all the time. That is not trolling. A game is a game. It is nothing serious nor formal.

You can't do anything about them,because the automated system is dogshit at detecting trolls.

Mute, report, move on. Flaming them is only feeding the troll. It sucks to lose due to a troll, but over time you’ll see trolls on the other team and get your LP back from those.

I don’t see what’s wrong with the first example. While incredible odd and not ideal, aa and asol both have cc and can get utility through builds/masteries and maybe they had no intention to troll before you guys double banned them. Those picks are better for normals but you guys did provoke them (not saying they should have inted because they obviously reacted horribly and inting is much worse than target banning).

Also you aren’t guaranteed to hear if they’re punished. Instant feedback only happens sometimes.

Based on the OP, I'm going to guess those players didn't int but just had shitty games.

Let's watch some replays. Or not because the referenced games are no longer in the OP's most recent 20 games.

Oh, and a non-meta or unorthodox pick does not mean someone is trolling.

If you think that that's how Occam's Razor works, you don't understand Occam's Razor.

Though you are right, those two did int. They didn't try to hide it, though. Warwick's first death was blatant inting, as was Kat's death at 18:25 and at least one subsequent death. Up until that point, though, Kat had not been intentionally feeding, she just got destroyed by the Talon, who's damage output she was clearly unfamiliar with.

I am wondering this very same thing right now. I'm at the point of just not playing this game anymore. It is not worth the aggravation. Plenty of support staff teams in other games that take cheating or conduct unbecoming - much more seriously.

I, too, have sent numerous reports. Once in a great while I will get a "Thanks for your help" But it is nonsense. I saw the player back in the same day.

I never report someone for being toxic... ffs, I can deal with an A-hole. These inting mo - fo's quite often turn me into an A-hole. I received a chat ban for 10 games. But for the love of God!; if inting were taken more seriously - I would never need to be one.

It's like blaming the gun for the murder, not the person. I don't understand. This leaves me really with really only 2 possible beliefs.

  1. RIOT truly does not care about anything other than Pro-Play.
  2. Their team that handles these things are too lazy to actually investigate the report. Most likely, it is some sort of nonsense where an account accrues too many negative check marks; is flagged; then an automated warning.

It takes very little time to scroll through a chat log and filter a summoner's comments. To watch a replay and determine intent - takes actual work.

1 hour ago, I took the time download a replay; flag 2 players who were clearly not trying to win a game - disguising actions by maintaining a high CS; clearly pick horrible fights - turn back on enemy champs and stand there attacking minions; run into absolute horrible odds.

Once I understand.. lag, distraction in real life - whatever, it happens.
An entire game of horrible decisions and questionable intentions? Not likely.

It is out of your control. The only thing you can do is remain positive and try to carry. Letting people tilt you makes sht 10x worse.
