You realize the Boards staff aren't Riot employees, right? Everyone here is a volunteer and is not employed by Riot in any way, shape, or form.
FWIW I don't respect the sexual harassment allegations and I still have my strong opinions about it, but people can move past certain things. Some people forgive sooner than others and it doesn't make them 'apologists.' An apologist would be saying that Riot didn't do anything wrong, there was never any allegations/harassment, etc.
I think the term "apologist" is overwrought and not especially helpful here. Much as you would like it to be otherwise, there aren't any specific litmus tests that are applied to specialists or, for that matter, moderators. That's especially true with regard to that whole debacle.
It's very possible for us as a team to disagree about individual events. In fact, it's actively encouraged, because that's how we keep from becoming an echo chamber.
Makes me wonder what happened to Chermorg. He was one of the staunchest Riot supporters. He got upset over the community reaction towards that entire sexism thing from a few months ago and seemingly quit the Boards because of it.
