There's no rule against playing Zed support.

My team was 1/4 Anivia 1/5 Vayne 1/9 Darius 1/8 Volibear

Why do I get banned for going 5/9 Zed??????

For playing Zed support. which is perfectly fine to punish. Zed has nearly no support-anything to offer. Sure, he can poke to soften up a target for the ADC, but he has nothing else going for him as a support. I mean, at least Yasuo has some hard CC, and Windwall. Lee Sin has the potential to pick out a target for the ADC. Supports need to have something that can protect the ADC as well as for spoon feeding them kills.

And tbh, they don't ban just for troll picks, you were probably flaming the team, whether you started it or you responded to flaming from them, they mass reported you which drew attention to you, and Riot saw it fit to punish you.

There is no strict meta enforcement, we can play whatever we want, and Riot can't punish us for that with current rules. Not that it increases your chances of victory, but you get the point.

First, what does it say when you try to log into your banned account? Sometimes this can help, and if you were banned for chat related issues, you should see some chat logs when you do this.

If that doesn't help, you should have also received an email about your ban, so check the email associated with your account and see what that email says. Be sure to check your spam folder as well.

If neither of these options gives any information behind your ban, then your best bet would be to contact Riot support and politely request for more information regarding your ban.

Also, getting mass reported by your team is no different than just getting reported by one person. The system looks at the percentage of your reported games, and it only takes a single report to flag a game. This essentially means that receiving 4 or even 9 reports in a single game does nothing more than receiving 1 report in a single game.

When you log in it doesn't pop up saying that you got banned for playing support zed or being mass reported.

Zed is really not a Support champ, and if you got five kills to your ADC's one, that implies you didn't want to play support and just laned as Zed in bot against your team's wishes. If that's the case, that's trolling.

I don't exactly know what I was banned for but I got banned mid queue right after I played support zed, where my entire team colluded to report me.

And come on, Zed may not be the best support but who cares. I let our adc get the farm and I was playing normally. What is with all these downvotes and hate??

You are probably getting downvoted because you don't know why you were banned and are stating a guess as fact.

If you don't know the reason you need to submit a support ticket. Ill tell you right now, the reason is neither playing support zed or for being mass reported. Playing support zed, though terrible in most cases, is not bannable. The only thing reports do is trigger reviews of your behavior. If those reviews don't find anything

I main support, and lately I only play, what other consider, "useless supports". In like 4/5 matches we win the lane hard but due to them flaming since champ select the game is pretty much lost because they are tilted before they start playing and go 0/5 after 10 minutes.

They always say they report me for "troll pick", but there is not such a thing mentioned in the rules. I never got banned, only them got muted for flaming.

I can (and will) play any champ as support. Meta is just something that makes the game boring after you play it enough.

So, TL;DR: You most likely were banned for something else.
