There's no rule against playing Zed support.
My team was 1/4 Anivia 1/5 Vayne 1/9 Darius 1/8 Volibear
Why do I get banned for going 5/9 Zed??????

That's not why you got punished... There's more to this.
Zed is really not a Support champ, and if you got five kills to your ADC's one, that implies you didn't want to play support and just laned as Zed in bot against your team's wishes. If that's the case, that's trolling.
I don't exactly know what I was banned for but I got banned mid queue right after I played support zed, where my entire team colluded to report me.
And come on, Zed may not be the best support but who cares. I let our adc get the farm and I was playing normally. What is with all these downvotes and hate??

I main support, and lately I only play, what other consider, "useless supports". In like 4/5 matches we win the lane hard but due to them flaming since champ select the game is pretty much lost because they are tilted before they start playing and go 0/5 after 10 minutes.
They always say they report me for "troll pick", but there is not such a thing mentioned in the rules. I never got banned, only them got muted for flaming.
I can (and will) play any champ as support. Meta is just something that makes the game boring after you play it enough.
So, TL;DR: You most likely were banned for something else.
