Punishments are for patterns of behavior, not for one-off bad games

Riot has confirmed several times that they do not punish players for "one bad game". In fact, they say that the majority of neutral players have an occasional bad game, and are not punished for it.

I just got chat restricted for 10 games, and my reform card only shows that one singular game that I played before the chat restriction. I've posted the chat log from my reform card down below. Without a doubt, it is deserving of reports, but it's a one-off for me, and was the only game in my reform card. Do you guys think this singular game merits a 10-game chat restriction? For context, I was being harassed by 3 players on my team from the first minute in, so it's not like i was bickering with just one guy and the rest of the team suffered from our argument. 3 members of the team were hounding and harassing me all game, and I didn't try to involve the enemy team either.

Just so you know, a 10-game chat restriction is the most mild punishment you can receive and you're lucky that's all you got for this match.

In the future, you should try to avoid arguments where you threaten to go AFK or, much worse, actually go AFK. Most of the community considers this highly toxic behavior and, as you have discovered, it can get you in trouble.

It is pretty rare to see one game as punishment. But I'm looking at this chat log and it's littered with insults and cursing, as well as an afk. Due to the severity of this one game, I'd say that's why you were punished.

I also heard there are exceptions for cases when somebody is extremely toxic.

The first penalty for gameplay griefing, like going afk or feeding is a 14 day ban, since a chat restriction wouldn't do anything. They were gentle with you instead and gave you a chat restriction.

Also, just because only 1 game was given on your reform card does not mean that the rest of your games were pristine. It could be they were just far enough in the past that the system decided to not display them.

AFK's get shunting into the Low Priority Queues. In-game griefing, such as intentionally feeding, start at 2-week bans.

And keep in mind the number of games shown in the logs you've received is only a sample of games that received reports.
