Inappropriate summoner names

One of the most overlooked report options ever seems to be the inappropriate summoner name report. And while it's true that the majority of players do not feel that for whatever reason an inappropriate name is good enough reason to report somebody compared for example to AFKs, I was wondering whether I could help put that into perspective.

League of Legends is a game that lots of people play. That means that everybody from age 10+ can theoretically play, with or without parental supervision.

I'm pretty sure that no parents out there want their children to log onto League only to find a bunch of people who gladly and anonymously like to reduce their children's self-esteem and make them frustrated merely because of some supposed poor performance in a game, or because they like to blame everybody else except themselves. However, it's true that Riot is doing its best to limit the numbers of toxic players, and cannot be held responsible for the vulgar vocabulary that they used. Hence, online interactions within League are not taken into consideration when the game is rated by the ESRB. And that's understandable.

Is there anything excusable about inappropriate summoner names though? If I was a, say, typical 13-year-old, and saw a fellow summoner going by the name 'Johnbukake', do you believe that I would never ever possibly wonder what this thing after John in his name is? I am aware of the fact that most children nowadays are very well versed in today's slang, but that does not mean that a random ignorant player in League should induce them to learn more about, in this case, porn, if they are not aware of it already. I know that upon registration, the game does look for obvious vulgar words in your summoner name, such as the F word. But as we can all see, there are plenty of ways eager players can bring their vulgarity to the game by circumventing all these safety measures. A big note here would be that even the smartest detection software wouldn't be able to spot every single variation of a every vulgar word someone could mix into his name in an attempt to hide it, so I'm not trying to blame Riot and its supposed 'negligence' here.

Summoner names are not exactly an 'online interaction'. As such, if we're going to have summoners going by '%%%gotypete' or 'XXXMothaFckerXXX', we should really review the game's current rating. For the time being, I would really like to urge players out there, for the sake of keeping League clean, do report all those that could be considered to have an inappropriate summoner name. Not every player in the game is old enough to be exposed to less than appropriate concepts so early on in life, because someone decided to add them to his absolutely public summoner name. This is why this report option exists. For us to successfully identify all those summoner names that evaded the imperfect vulgarity detection system Riot uses. By now, I've seen so many people that have somehow incorporated the word bukake and other such terms into their summoner names, that I have been moved to make this thread. Such names are also a form of toxicity that League of Legends could do without. Treat it the same way that you would treat a flamer and a rage quiter.

EDIT: an example of League's automatic censorship system... In my first of the two summoner names examples given in my last paragraph, a few characters have been replaced by %%%.

Always love to revisit Sky Williams' example that he uses in a lot of his vids for players that also have an attitude problem, "pussyslayer69." I'm pretty sure this would make it past the filter.

I think it's pretty stupid that people use vulgar names, and I think that games that are rated T or E should probably have these names in check, especially for online games that, as you mentioned, theoretical 8-10 year-olds could be playing.

Personally if it's a racial slur then I fully understand a name change, if it's something that's in all purposes comedic like mine, who honestly cares?

You are probably right that inappropriate name is an underused category. That is probably because we don't pay much(if any) attention to people's names. We call people by w/e champion they are playing.
