What is the point of trying in SIlver Leauge?

Seriously I'm trying my hardest to win, I'm doing my best to play, what disgusts me is when people decide that it's just a game and it's ok to mess around, suicide into people. They will pick champions that they don't know how to play like the new champion go off on a 0/18/0 in RANKED GAME and say "it's ok it's just a game, I don't care about winning" All the while I'm busting my ass trying to keep the ship from sinking while my teammates just screw around and not caring.

Seriously Silver League is the troll league, it's just you vs the enemy and vs your team. I don't understand why I should bother trying to win? This is the elo where most people give up in, This is where people give up on playing seriously this is where the Gold/Plat make their home in with their smurfs, They want to practice and relax and just "enjoy the game" but instead of messing around in normals decide it's perfectly fine to use my Ranked game as a testing ground to try out champions they don't know how to play "I don't care about winning or loosing, this isn't my main account."

It just makes me angry when I'm doing my best, I'm playing my hardest trying to win the game, and some Asshole on the team doesn't care, and just mess around, not helping the team for any reason, and I'm forced to keep playing. If no one wants to try in Silver why should I be busting my ass hard to win games where my team doesn't want to win? This type of stuff is how trolls are born, I honestly feel like the only way to enjoy Ranked in silver is to troll games, play w/e I want and just laugh at myself when I feed the enemy because I got no idea what I'm doing. I mean why should I care? no one I play with cares why should I care so hard about trying?

I have never had this experience in ranked games. I think you've just experienced some bad luck. Keep at it! Keep trying to improve and you will improve. Just do your best to focus on the only thing you can control in your games--and that is your own performance.

What u fail to realise, is that there is a flaw in your thread. You talk about silver in general, which obviously means, you play WITH those people but also you play AGAINST those kind of people. so its 4 people who mess around, dont care + YOURSELF versus 5 people who mess around and dont care. You see where i am going with this? YOU are difference. If YOU are above silver level skill, then YOU should be able to carry game and win, because try hard player+ 4 "its just a game" players always beats 5 "its just a game" players.

There's really no point. I grinded through all the trolls, feeders, ragers (like me!), and just straight-up shitters for like a month to go from Silver V 0LP to Silver II 100LP only to get banned for being too much of a rager. Sometimes it's just not worth trying, ranking up through Silver is one of times.

I have experienced this is low Silver like S4 and S5 but once you get higher in SIlver it slowly diminishes, so keep at it bud!

My analogy for Ranked is this:

LCS is your NHL level of play.

Master/Challenger is your AHL level of play.

AHL is where NHL teams farm their players from.

Master/Challenger is where LCS teams farm their players from.

CJHL is where players play to get into the AHL.

All other Ranked is where plays play to get into Master/Challenger.

Beer League is casual hockey, it's for fun.

Normals is casual LoL, its for fun.

There are no Beer League players playing in the CJHL Teams.

There SHOULD NOT BE ANY Normals players playing in Ranked.

The reason for this is because when you hit 30, Rito immediately sets your MMR at Silver. This is something I, personally, have a huge problem with.

See, even with when I started, I was placed in Silver 4 the first time I played. I thought, like an idiot, I was good, and then I fed miserably until I dropped to Bronze where I belonged at the time. Since then I've climbed and consistently played ranked to show I belong in this rank.

NOW HERE'S THE KICKER

Those newly 30 players who have been placed and don't belong here are a huge issue to the rest of the silver ranking. We basically play 4v5 because our team has been gimped of its experience by a rather huge margin. That's why I think that climbing out of Bronze was so easy for me, but I hover around Silver 4/3. The players are not better, I'm going to be honest. The skill is about the same. But the players are very different.

In bronze, it's all people who have dropped from Silver. We realized we had to learn the game, and we started listening to whoever calls the shots on the team. Generally that was me, telling people not to take fights, not to contest an objective and instead trade it, and shocker, I got to silver from B5 in like, 2 weeks. Now I've been in silver for several months, because people think they're better. They don't think they need to listen to others, and that causes them to die. A lot.

It's just something we have to deal with until Riot fixes the MMR system.
