Guy being toxic cuz I´m girl

Recently I played draft game and one of my teammates had such a big problem with me.... Cuz I´m girl! And that´s all. He told me that **I shouldn´t play LoL cuz this aint game for girls ** If I´d had bad score like 0/3 or worse, I wouldn´t complain about it. But my score was pretty good to be support. Or if I will try to have attention of other players cuz im girl. But nope... I just play like anyone else and im givin my best all the time. I just dont understand what´s that big problem. I never had problem with someone, in 3 or 4 months of playin, based on my gender. And now im askin... ** Should girls play LoL or not? ** I mean... It´s about how I play and I helped my team when they needed, I support as best as I could...

And I feel really strange to say it loud... but I really need opinion so If I should just let it go or change something... Im gonna repeat myself... I wasnt playin bad at this game cuz If he was toxic about me feedin... I would understand.. I didnt try to have some attention or something... I didnt even say something... and when they killed me, while we already destroyed enemy turrets, he just wrote this.

btw... i dont cry about it... im just askin for opinions so I know how other people feel it :D just in case :D

if you dont like getting ripped on for being a girl then dont put 'girl' in your name.

people are going to attack whatever they can in this game. when you give them that you are a girl you are giving them something to attack. it would be the same if i put canadian or jewish in my name. then people will say canadian jews shouldnt play LoL.

Just respond with "guys like you are the reason i date other girls" Doesn't matter if you do or not. This is just a back handed way of saying that the guy is so pathetic only his mother will love him......maybe.

This game is overpopulated with misogynistic little boys, at least in NA. But riot's garbage ban system never bans these people or the racists either, unless they are dumb enough to use a slur. They can easily avoid the buzzwords that get flagged by the useless ban bot. And anyone who says that you shouldn't put "girl" in your name or mention gender in-game is part of the sexist problem of this so-called community. Nothin but victim-blaming cis boys who think "feminazis" is a real thing. Fuck the haters. Mute/report/repeat. We need more discords for the femmes and queers <3

Studies show that gamers who lash out at women tend to be shitty at the game they're playing. Take some solace in that. You have as much a right as anybody to be here, so fuck the assholes telling you otherwise.

That said... I'd generally recommend nipping this sort of thing at the bud and not using an overtly female summoner name. I respect that this can feel unfair to you, and hope I'm not coming across as victim-blaming here, but with as much sexism as the gaming community is plagued by, declaring yourself to be female can draw disproportionate attention towards yourself.

Let it go, or tell him to shut up, and if all else fails, mute, block and report him via support ticket. My wife plays as a support main. Your friend just sounds like an asshole.

A woman playing a game is no different from a male. If he wants to be a sexist asshole that's his problem.

Not that the behavior is acceptable but I have no idea why you think putting "Girl" in your name is a wise thing if you truly have been playing online video games for awhile.

You admit this is an isolated incident, clearly this player simply has something wrong with them. We don't know their history, or what kinds of things they went through to lead them to the current hateful person they are today. What matters is that this is the only person you've encountered with this behavior. So simply report them and move on.

i've been playing for over 4 years and ran a league club at college...if it's not for girls then i don't know why i got a leadership award for running that club and a pokemon club...

seriously though those guys are sexist jerks who have low self-esteem. if you're worried about more remarks i'd say just change your summoner name to something that doesn't giveaway your gender. honestly though if you enjoy the game play it, same with basically everything. also i've found more guys hit on girls in this game than hate on them

I would just dodge the match where anybody says something like that, because people like that are not worth my time. Girls can play this game perfectly well and so can guys or somewhat intelligent monkeys. Fuck that person for being a downright ass and please don't feel pressured in leaving.

Personally, I love answering with sarcasm when they talk about my gender, because after that they all become mad and they are not focused on the game anymore. I suggest you to just mute, play your game and report them. If you think it won't be enough, send a ticket to the support. There are no reasons for girls to not play this game. Don't let some idiots tell you otherwise. Have fun for your next games. :)
