I want to change the way we respond to trolling. How do I deal with players like this...

Intentionally Feeding Placements 0/5

Posted originally to reddit by me:

I not sure how to go about this. I got into a game and someone posted their twitch. I hoped over in champ select to be nice, say hi, and see what was up. Streamers need love. Anyway his title was "Intentionally Feeding Placements 0/5." I asked some questions and dodged. I'm going to get punished for sure, maybe a timer ban. I have several twitch clips where I asked him about his behavior and why he was trolling. This is the one that got me:

How do I archive this so he doesn't remove it? This isn't a "RIOT plz" thing, I want to work on this and see how we can change the way reports work so I can report a player like this without having to play a game and lose, or dodge and get punished myself.

Plz upvote so it gets their attention. I'm not on some "get this one person banned" vendetta. I've had lots of games like this and I want to start a productive discussion about measures to take.

Someone also put in YouTube for me:

Edit: Plz add your clips of people bragging about trolling/feeding/ect on purpose. It'd be a great help to find more than one that's so obvious.

I've commented this on another post before this but i think the comment is pretty fitting, either way even though some topics might be different.

To me this just represent Riot Games as an greedy company that only cares about money and not the players themselves and what they have to go through in some games against, i thought of Riot Games differently before i saw this but now..

Since riot lets these two guys get away and lets them ruin other people's experience constantly with no real punishment, who knows how many new troll accounts this made, maybe thats why Tahm Kench is on sale right now lmao nice marketing Riot!

I mean seriously seeing that you can troll over 500 games with no punishment? Jeez now everyone can do this since they see how easy it is and how they will never get punished for it even though its supposedly "non-sportsmanlike behaviour"

Which now seem to create a chaos since it's shown it doesn't really matter if you int you just gotta do it the right way and even if you get on front page of reddit, pft couple week ban ha! thanks Riot.

Very disappointed in this company from what i see now, ill keep this in mind for the rest of my time in League of Legends. Thanks Riot.

Riot would much rather ban you for saying something "mean" than ban people who actually ruin games.

[][]UPDATE[][]

I submitted a support ticket and got a response. The person I'm in contact with seems reasonable and has an understandable position on the issue. I'd like to post the conversation once the ticket is resolved, provided that RIOT doesn't mind (that stuff may be private/ views of person, not company).

I'd like to expand the conversation to streamers who troll. Some people make money off trolling (or attempt to). The "ain't no such thing as bad publicity" stance means that views and comments for these streamers boost ratings even if they are against the troll.

While the devil is in the details on catching the average troll (southpark anyone?), could most of us agree that streaming to troll is easier to catch and punish?

Riot nowadays can be somewhat compared to Valve when T3 happend in Dota2. They are seeking ways to get additional Money. Before T3/T4 back in the Day happend, dota2 was a good Game where you got grind Couriers and make a shit ton of Money (the legendary drop chance was about 2-5%), then they changed their system so that you can only get doubles if you have gotten any other thing out of a chest first, which would require you to spend 7x more money.

Same happens with Riot. Before they were all about the Game, now they bring out skin series like 'Star Guardian' promote them with a nice Video and hope to get more Money that way. At the same time lower the Key Fragmant drop chance and introdoucing honor to cover the drop rate changes.

Now if the leaver buster gets you or you are banned in any way, you would have to buy ip&xp boosts on a new account and some kids even want to play with the same skins so thats even more money.

The best thing you can do is put the video and an explanation in a Riot Support Ticket. That's the best way to get them to see it. They don't regularly check the forums. I mean this is a great way to show others and expose the guy for doing this but if you want a response, definitely put in a ticket. It's even better than reporting because the system checks scores, damage done, and chat log. It could see him as having a bad game especially since he does have two kills. This is much better proof to show he is trolling and inting.

This guy in the video should've gotten banned just off of this alone. If more resources were put into actually punishing this ^ and not dumping funds into algorithms that chat witch hunt the rift might have a chance to be better :/
